The app is still the "face" of the technology behind the scenes. When I'm standing 10 feet from me vehicle with full cell service and it still takes 5 minutes...it sucks
I never had it take more than about 40 seconds but there were times it wouldn't work at all... that was on my 2018. I can only recall one time it failed with my 2020

There's actually a large portion of the western US with little to no mobile service, ask me how I know. 🤣🤣
Ahh, I see.

But, wait, if you have no mobile service, wouldn't that often render the mobile connected features for your truck (like remote start from your phone) useless?

It does, yes. The mapping will continue off memory until it reaches service again. I'm mostly referring to satellite radio here...I subscribe because it keeps me going with tunes in those dead areas....I NEVER pay full price though . There's always significant deals available

I'm a YouTube Music subscriber, and I don't take drives into dead areas too often, but when I know I'm going to, I download a bunch of albums, and a couple of times even made a few playlists specifically for those trips, and downloaded those.

Which one of us is going to volunteer to sit outside the factory 24hrs a day, beginning immediately, to relay the comings and goings of the workers back to the group? We need to embed someone into the line like a mob snitch. Only in this case, instead of stitches, this snitch will win a cold air intake for their 1500! Yay!!

(Legal disclaimer: don’t ever do anything I say. There is no cold air intake prize. The intake is a lie. Infiltrate the factory line at your own risk. I do not have bail money, I’ve got a truck to pay for.)

I’m not going to say that they’re “bulk” dealer orders, but there are certainly dealer orders in those gaps (I’ve found a couple hundred of them). Add in fleet orders too, which I have no way of finding.
Hey Eighty....I'm brand new to the forum but have been reading the thread for a couple weeks now. Can you take my VIN to add to your data sheet? I'm getting frustrated

What I got from this: rip the intake out of my car.

Sure, I'll need:
  • Order date
  • VIN (or last 6 digits, at least)
  • Trim level (Limited, Laramie, etc.)

Do I dare think 22 production will actually start this week????? I feel like every time there's a date set then let down is inevitable.

It did already start. Several early folks are in D1 status. I'm going to check shortly to see if my status has changed

Well, I for one am super happy that I don't have my new 2022 truck!

I literally just watched all of the cars in our parking lot get hammered with these. Mind you in summer rain these were already quite melted vs what actually came down.

No status change for me today. :(

Was hoping I could hop on the D1 bandwagon.
Well if it helps any, it looks like you are right at that line were it could possible start this week. I just checked, and I'm still at D, and I'm with the next "batch" of folks.

What I'm worried about is that my tread lightly discount will expire by the end of October. It will be super close for me, if I'm going to end up renewing it.

I knew the wait would be long and grueling. When I ordered, Sandi @ MD told me 12-16 weeks once MY22 production starts. Seriously doubt it will be anywhere near that. Today marks 3 months since I placed my order. At least we can all suffer together. Misery loves company right? haha

only part I care about is updated maps since construction happens a lot in my area. Hell my 2013 BMW lets me download and load new maps if I don't want to take it to the dealer.
But I will still go to the thread and comment. Thanks
I'm surprised anybody relies on the built-in navigation anymore with new vehicles. Bought my wife an Audi just over a year ago and we've used the built-in navigation maybe a half a dozen times. We always use Waze with the Android Auto. The only frustrating thing in her car is that we have to plug in the phone. I'm really looking forward to the wireless Android Auto with the UConnect5.

There are a LOT of similarities/same features on the Canadian trucks, but a decent amount of differences on packaging and/or available options. I noticed they don't get the 33 gallon fuel tank option with the EcoDiesel up there. Not sure why other than there may be a stipulation of how many gallons of fuel a LD truck can legally carry and/or be licensed for??

I saw that on the hitch as well and not sure why there either. I know these manufacturers have to "jump through hoops" with some features to adhere to that particular country's laws and regulations. Some of simply has to do with how the trucks are generally purchased and/or packaged to be competitive in that market as well.

I had another useless session with RamChat earlier this afternoon (I couldn't bring myself to validate with a bogus name and address 🤣 🤣 🤣 ), but was "assured" the US B&P was coming very soon and they were going to email me the MY22 brochure "immediately" That was 4 hours ago and no email....I'm not going to hold my breath.....I reiterated to them no less than three times I was NOT interested in either a print or electronic copy of a MY 19-21 brochure or otherwise. I was only interested in the MY22 full brochure.

The 27 gal tank is the 33 gal tank. 27 Canadian gallons (Imperial) are the same size as 33 US gal.

I thought the same when I went to order and then remembered there is a difference and the math explains it 27.4 Gal on the Canadian site.

While there are trucks in D1 status, no "production" has started yet (other than some pilot vehicles). We're expecting to see some 2022 Build Sheets in the next few days - it really depends on how many 2021's are left to make...and if there's any new shortages/stoppages.

Yeah, I figured that out by the liters after the fact. I forgot imperial gallons are totally different than ours, 😂

I've purposely not been bugging my sales person since I knew there wouldn't be anything good to hear based on what everyone else was hearing. But today I decided to just see if maybe I was out of D status. The good news is I'm not in C, but I'm still in D. Here's my data for the chart.

VIN: 122877 (ordered July 19th)
Limited
