Anyone else considering getting an extended warranty on their 2019 Ram (considering keeping it a while)?

There are a few added features of buying it early, which saves about $200, if you purchase it before 12mos/12Kmiles.

Also, rental car reimbursement, key fob replacements, and a few other goodies from day 1.

Cheapest I could find was from Zeigler using a promo code "PAYINFULL", which knocked $365 off the online price.

I had considered the 7 year 75000 mile ESP with the $100 deductible for $ 1105. (after the promo code). That plan most suits me for my driving.

I found this @ http://www.chryslerfactoryplans.com/

I bought the lifetime $200 deductible as I plan on keeping a very long time. Even factoring in the warranty cost, this came is almost $4K lower then a F-150 Limited. Very pleased.

Wonder if I can 'upgrade' to the lifetime.... I tend to keep vehicles for a very long time.

Hmmm.. apparently it isn't a MOPAR warranty. Guess I need to figure this out...

Dealer tried to sell me some "third party" warranty for over $3,000. I was grinning all the time because I knew I could get a GENUINE Mopar one online for thousands less.

then the discount from Zeigler made it even more attractive.

No discount if you live in Florida... state law....

Yeah, I'll be calling to figure out how to get this cancelled and switched to the MOPAR Warranty.

I got the lifetime warranty and asked the dealer to match the quote or I would just buy it online. No issues in the dealer matching this at all. It covers everything outside of normal wear items and the lifetime warranty is just a little more than a 7 year maximum care warranty. I drive about 20,000 miles a year so it works for me. Mopar backed so it should be easier to get work done than a 3rd party.

It's not entirely clear, but it sounds like when you say "...I knew I could get a GENUINE Mopar one online for thousands less..." you were referring to buying it from Zeigler. I just obtained a quote from the Zeigler site and for a just purchased 2019 1500 4x4 with 100 miles on it, the price was $3355. I didn't see a space to enter the promo code that was mentioned, but even if the quoted amount is discounted on account of the promo code, the price will still be +/- $3,000.

If your dealer quoted you $3,xxx for lifetime coverage and you "could get [genuine Mopar coverage] online for thousands less," that means you can get the Mopar extended lifetime warranty for around $1000. Is that what Zeigler quoted you? Or did you get that quote from another source?

I'd sure like to get in on a $1,000 lifetime warranty! I'd be pretty surprised if there is such a thing, but I learn new stuff every day and maybe that is my lesson for today.

YES, I was referring to Zeigler for getting a Mopar ESP quote.......

BUT...

I never stated that the ESP was a "lifetime" one, so I am not sure how you assumed that.

Also, the promo code box is right on the choice selection. I just checked it and the promo code "PAYINFULL" does in fact, take off $365 (was just double checking it hadn't changed).

I will post a pic of it today when I get home from work..

Wow...even with the $10K+ off sticker that Ford has been offering? I’m planning to wait until I reach 10-11 months to pull the trigger on a lifetime warranty (very low miles). If it’s a good year of ownership - and it’s done well so far - then I’ll declare it a keeper.

Clay Robbins $2750 with 100 deductible lifetime unlimited miles . Well worth it as I’ll be handing this truck off to the boy in 10 years.

When to the dealer in person to cancel the bogus 'extended warranty'... yeah, they got me on that one, shame on me.

When through Chrysler Warranty Direct as they offered me the best price for Lifetime, Wheel, and Appearance.

Did you check with Clay Robbins or Ziegler? They are usually several hundreds less than Chrysler warrantys.

You're quite right. The lifetime warranty thing crept in apparently because that's what I'm looking for and so that's what was on my mind. Sorry.

There was a price increase 1st week in October. I don't think the $2750 is still a valid price (would have been before the price increase)....Better double check on that.

Prices are pretty much neck and neck. Zeigler was $25 cheaper than anyone else.

There was a price increase 1st week in October, so if you ha a previous quote, you might want to reconfigure it.

the LIFETIME with the $100 deductible I'm seeing @ $2990.

The price for Lifetime/Wheel/Appearance was cheaper (for me) through Chrysler Warranty (also Florida).... maybe a fluke... either way, significantly cheaper than the crap the dealer pawned off on me...

I would always call and confirm any Mopar ESP pricing for contracts sold for residents who live in Florida. there are different rules.
