So if I'm reading this correctly, my truck is slated to start production around late October/early November, and then arrive at the dealer around the first two weeks of December?
Like @Eighty said...its all guess and alot if speculation because ram hadn't given anyone a time frame and plenty of things to consider, like sold orders are priority over dealers orders.

For example, even if you ordered last week and have your vin, it might be a possibility that your vin gets bumped up over dealer orders ( the gaps listed on the chart explains that part) and arrives sooner.

We just don't know at this point until production starts.

Still praying that D1 status starts to pop up on some of our early order folks in may, and it shows up this week.

I’m confused now. The Laramie level B had blind spot on it and is shown on the window sticker of 2021s that are still available. But, it’s not shown on my Place Order Confirmation sheet I received from my dealer.
Level 2 had it, i dont think level B ever did, again i think its the most confusing thing that of all the trims they strip the Laramies of all the tech safety stuff but its available to add on both lower and higher Trims. the southwest package was SUPPOSED TO come with BSM as well as the original LvL 1, before it became level A. But neither of them mention bsm anymore.

That is super annoying and stupid to be frank. How could a feature like that not be standard on a Laramie and a Limited for that matter? I currently have a loaded Sierra and I couldn’t see buying a loaded Big Horn. I kinda felt like I’d be downgrading even with having so many options on the Big Horn. So I went with a Laramie. I spent months debating on whether I was going to put an order in and unfortunately sounds like I waited too long.

Edit: Hasti beat me to it.

I was in the same boat. It *is* standard on the Limited, I'm pretty sure, which I'm betting is why they haven't dropped it from that trim.

Someone else will probably be clearer on this than me, but from what I understand, it was "Level 2 Equipment" when the BSM was still available, which it was up until I think sometime in February. After that, they changed the package to "Level B" and dropped the BSM.
i mean levelB is 4k hopefully they merged some packages ?

No, they just take a couple hundred bucks off the packages. I lost out on the trailer tire pressure monitor from the Tow Group by a week. All they did was make it $100 bucks cheaper. Wasn't happy about it but that wasn't a deal-breaker for me. Dropping BSM would be, which is part of why I moved to a Limited.

I think they figured most people would feel that way, and would rather keep, like, you know, backup cameras and such.

For me personally, I've had a BSM on my last two vehicles over the last 8 1/2 years and I'm so used to it that I'd have to make a pretty big adjustment to my driving to suddenly not have it.

Exactly same boat, wife and i are happy with a southwest edition because we cannot afford a 70k truck. but a lot of people here jumped to a limited because without the southwest edition, the difference in price from a loaded laramie and a limited is negligible. Im just bummed they wholesale Scrubbed it from laramies in particular, and to me it defies logic that bighorns and rebels could at least add it in untill recently. its the only trim i wanted since i started looking last year, and as the entry level "luxury" trim it seems perplexing that THAT was the one stellantis stripped of all the goods.

I want to make sure you clearly understand what this lookahead is. It's a pure guess, based on some sweeping assumptions:
  • Production starts 9/6, and they build 6000 trucks/week
  • Production is done sequentially by VIN number
  • There are no delays due to parts shortages, Covid, etc.
The main point is that this is speculative. I don't work for Stellantis, and I have no clue what they will prioritize for production. This is just a fun thing to do while we all wait for trucks.

Theoretically, it should give you a general sense of when to expect your truck. But it could be (no, WILL be) significantly off. Some people will get a nice surprise, others won't.

All of that said, and per the chart, you should expect your truck sometime in early December. Might be in November, might be in January or worse...
That's still better than the "I'd say at least 12 weeks" with a subtext of "but really I have no idea" that I got from the dealer lol.

I'm moving up to a truck from a sedan (with BSM) and can't imagine driving a truck without it! Not to mention the wife wouldn't let me buy one without it.

Level 2 did have it and I guess that is what I was expecting with Level B. Obviously it was dropped. Not that it’s a deal breaker but I only went Ram because of air ride suspension. But, I learned that Chevy now offers air ride on their 2021 Silverado and you can get the 6.2L…

Profit margins I'm sure. They sell way more Bighorns (and to a lesser extent Rebels) than Laramies so I guess they kind of canabalized them from the Laramies to try and keep a semi-major/popular feature on a couple of trims they move a lot of units on, and on a trim that probably makes them good money (the Limited).

Hard guessing right here.

Here's what I show, for all of the 2022 orders registered on this forum. Isn't necessarily a reflection of total trucks ordered (@triple_B can provide that information).

I’d be willing to bet the limited’s went up because of people ordering Laramie’s jumping up a trim level. My dealer was unfortunately useless in understanding the packages. But shame on me for not better understanding then too.

That's the thing, it's not your fault, they should know better.

We can all use a little more knowledge ( especially me) but you reached out to the dealer, and they should have most answers for you.

I know we dont work at the dealers. but is seems like the Communication from Corporate to the dealers blows. Even ordering with aaron there were options and combinations not available to order that he had not been familiar with, from all of the anecdotal evidence on this forum it seems obvious that more often than not dealers are left holding the bag because of lack of Downstream communication from corporate, leaving dealers constantly saying the three bad words in sales ("i dont know") and that is the quickest way to anger potential buyers. At ram They make a good product, but their bedside manner needs a little work. 100% their are crap dealers out there, but alot of them just dont have the knowledge we do here that comes from collective research and trial/error.

I think about half the reason I got as good of a deal on my truck as I did was because I proved the salesperson wrong about something twice. And I'm a truck noob.
