I get a whistle I thought was the slider, but maybe it’s this since I can’t pinpoint it from the driver’s seat. Appears to be on the passenger side, correct? I just had it out a week ago to put sound matting on the sub, I should’ve checked then.

Just a heads up, I patched the hole on the passenger side today and test drove. Still had a whistle. Looked at the other seats and there were 3 other unused holes that had a duct tape style patch over them. I took that off and patched them and no whistles since. The holes are at each large bolted connection just like the passenger side on in the corner.

With so many unused holes how are your seats even mounted to the truck?? Haha I didn’t have any unused holes on my seats!

That’s a really good question. 8 total bolt bolts at the rear of the seats and only 4 of them were used!

That is system voltage, its the same thing, system/battery voltage.
Desert, is your truck an etorque truck? They usually run 13.8-14.4 range, mine does. The non etorque trucks usually run lower.
Theres a thread about it here https://5thgenrams.com/community/threads/what-voltage-should-etorque-be-at.28919/

Yes etorque. I haven’t clicked the link yet. But your telling me my truck is running 12.6 voltage engine running and not. Usually a running car a voltage meter in in the 13.5/v14v. Just went outside and now truck running is at 13.5 and off 12.4. I’m concerned it was running at 12.6. So much going on with these trucks. When I started it. It creeps from 12.4 up to 13.3.

I bought it used. With 12k 6 months old. After I bought it. I found out dealer withheld info. And it been in for failing fuel injectors twice. And dealer installed wrong oil filter.

I didn’t end up getting to it this weekend, took the MX bike out to the track instead lol. I do want to pull the rear interior out and sound mat this truck like the last one, so when I do that I’ll cover all the holes. I did notice that with the window vent visors, I don’t notice the whistle as often as before I put them on.

Did you use the Luxe tint for your mirrors, tail lights, and third brake light? Which level of tint did you get?
I used this guy. Recommended by others here.
There is only one option. I’m very happy with it.

Changed the oil today. Wasn't near as bad as most people makes it out to be. I did purchase a filter relocation kit, but it's the wrong size so it wouldn't screw on. Also, noticed I have two cracks on the rear window frame.

Washed and tried out the LAST COAT. Stuff seems very nice. Shall See how long it last. I ended up doing the windows, body and wheels.

I went with the same ceramic, really happy so far.
There is a thread you can add your experience to: https://5thgenrams.com/community/threads/how-has-your-ceramic-coating-held-up.29392/

Today I got the silver pedal covers installed.

CarlaRam18July2021_01.jpg

Since there are currently no OEM covers available for our 5th Gen trucks, I went with the ones available on Amazon for $20.

RamPedals.jpg

They were pretty east to install. They fit tightly as the OEM ones did on my other vehicles but I was able to get them on by hand without tools and/or lubricate. It was just a matter of removing the rubber cover for the brake pedal first. The accelerator pedal cover goes on over the existing plastic pedal. Installation took about five minutes.

And they look very nice. My goal is always keep everything looking factory even when it is aftermarket. And these pedals look like they originally belong there. If they hold up, this will be a great add-on for $20.

not a bad way to spend the weekend. While sound matting thatll be the best time to cover all those holes up. I think its all about how much pressure the cabin gets from the window being down, the visor may have decreased that.

It was a beautiful Sunday. Not hot for a change and kind of breezy. The perfect day to get a little work done.

I went out to the garage and looked at the mud flaps I want to install on the Ram 🧐. Then 🥱 I took a nap. 😴

Does that count?
D- for effort A+ for nap. Still counts for "what did you do to your ram today".

Went Off-Roading (on my dirt bike) but the truck got me there:

Hey Adam, I have a WR250R, which I'm enjoying more and more as I get used to the paradigm shift from a streetbike on which I can touch the ground! Looks like a fun crew there. If central Indiana had more off-road options, maybe I'd meet more riders. Have fun!

Yeh I wished they came in red carbon.
One option would be to buy these and wrap them in red carbon fiber? They don’t seem like they’d be too difficult to wrap. I was even considering getting them just to wrap them orange to match my interior lol
