Yeah, that seems excessive since they did mine in less than two days. Make sure you inspect it before leaving the dealership. A few folks here have had damaged trim, etc.
Post back once you have it.

Take care,

Alright, they finally called me today and I rode an hour and a half from work to pick it up, the new dash looked good but the 12 inch Uconnect was not working so back in the loaner again, they also missed the three other repairs they were suppose to do, needless to say this is BS to have my truck 11 days and not have everything done, complained to them and more importantly, and firmly, to FCA who needs to get this fixed right.
Having to go into a brand new truck and do a dash replacement is bad enough and to already have failures immediately after the repairs reinforces my stance that they should extend the bumper to bumper. I have not owned the truck a month at this point...has anyone else had any luck getting a comped max care warranty?

This is amazing. That tech’s a knucklehead. You’d think he’d test it before signing off on the repair. Sheesh.

FCA case manager says they called them and gave them grief after I called and gave FCA grief, Tech swears it was working but when I go back will be testing everything that was unplugged, wifi-radio reception-speakers-usb ports-rear seat controls-power seats both sides-EVIC-electric parking brake-4x4 controls-ambient lighting and anything else I can think of when I get there.....
I am calling in first thing Monday AM and making sure the service manger is now fully involved in this, I think they are trying to make it right as I bought the truck there.

Yeah, that’s BS.

I had a similar issue with my AC/Heating blower motor after getting the TSB done, but mine was working when I picked up the truck and stopped working after I got home and went to start the engine again. I took it back the next day and it was a loose connector which they fixed while I waited. Totally different experience.

Keep us posted. Stinks for anyone to have to go through this.

I have a 2020 Rebel.. AC seems to be fine... but it takes several minutes before it does anything when I first start it up, you know, when the truck is actually well into triple digits. I've taken it up as a quirk, maybe a penalty of some environmental reg on car makers. So I start 'r up remotely when it's really hot. Is this normal, or a symptom of this TSB?

The only car I've had that requires this. (And the only car I've owned that turns on the fan on cold mornings, versus delaying it until the engine comes up to temp, which is actually so dumb, I just assumed it would NOT turn on the fan on hot afternoons to stay consistent)

Yep, that’s the issue that the TSB fixes (poor/slow cooling).

I just tested mine yesterday by leaving it out in the sun for a few hours, and sure enough, after climbing in the hot cabin and turning on the engine, it def cools much faster (and colder) than before. Very glad I got this done.

Cheers,

Congrats, glad they finally got it figured out and manufactured the repair parts for you guys with this issue.....

I have had the repair done and my vent temps will only get down to 47F...Anyone else had this done and can post their vent temps on the center vents? Curious how mine compares post repair on a 70F degree day.
I hate to have to bring this up, but I have to wonder if some of these dealers are LYING about performing the TSB but collecting the warranty payout...it happens. This situation seems like one of them.

Do you see any sign of work being done to the dash such as evidence of fasteners being removed or such? Hope you'll respond.

I see evidence of bolts and nuts being removed on the center console and under the dash so feel confident it was done. I also know the tech and he was grumbling about how long it took him.

I just scheduled my initial visit with Autonation Spring CDJR (North Houston area) for next Monday to have this done. 3-4 days after your appointment to even look at it so I'm thinking this is probably going to end up being a 2-3 week process. Hit 90 degrees the other day and it definitely wasn't cutting it. Fan speed low (even on max) and not cooling very well, especially when the rear vents are open. Hopefully this goes well.

It shouldn't be. Accounting for parts ordering etc, it should take not more than 4-5 days tops.
If they give you the runaround, contact Helfman on Katy Fwy @ Silber and speak to Matthew White (my SA). He's great to deal with and has taken care of me every time. PM me and I can give you his contact information.

Interested in hearing how your experience goes there as I'm needing the same and have been taking the truck there after an awful experience at Demontrond in Conroe.

temp was in the upper 80’s yesterday with sunny skies. Truck sat out all day. When left work, the AC had me comfortable in about 3 minutes in high. As with any vehicle with the new Freon, it really cools down with rpms once you hit the road. Not sure if the TSB was already done or not. Is there an easy way to tell?

Check the vent temperatures, left of the info screen and right of the info screen. There should not be a 10 degree difference.

Prob not. 3 min to cool down is pretty darn long in a hot cab. Should be more 30 seconds to a minute max

Thanks for the info. Guess I'm used to older vehicles so 3 minutes seems normal to me. I'll check the temps when I can.

You bet.
My son’s Tacoma spews ice cubes the second you turn on the engine. Literally cools down the cab in about ten seconds flat.

We paid almost a third of the price of what my Limited cost, yet the AC in that thing will run circles around my RAM, even with the TSB fix.
