What’s the most gas you’ve put in your 33- gallon tank?

Just noticed the owner’s manual says the optional tank is 32 gallons vs the 33 gallons listed on my monroney sticker..

Most I’ve done so far is 31.6 gallons. Curious now if anyone has put over 32+ gallons in..

Can't help you I've never let it get low enough for the low fuel light to come on. I don't think I've ever been below 1/4 tank.

I've never been below a quarter tank either. Not sure why they use the term "Regular Cab", but this is from my manual and it lists a 33 gallon tank. 121 liters is 31.965 gallons, though. 🤷‍♂️

ETA: Makes me wonder what they did different on the 6 bangers to decrease the oil cap a whole quart...

The most I’ve put in it was 27.1 gallons, and I believe that was with my tank on E while on a trip.

Cheers,

Good catch on 121 liters being 32 gallons not 33

So far I’ve noticed when the “fuel pump” icon comes on, it will take ~26 gallons. If keep driving until the “low fuel” warning comes on then it’ll take ~30.5 gallons.

Same. You don’t let your fuel pump run outside of submersion. That’s how it keeps cool and promotes longevity.

You sure they didn’t give you a DS owner’s manual? They made that mistake a lot early on...I had to make a second request to get the correct one, despite the correct cover on both.

Mine matches @grimreefer’s image...page 555.

I agree that what I posted is DS based on 3.6 oil capacity..

But even the DT in post #3 that says 33 gallons still only says 121 liters (31.96 gallons)

Most I‘ve ever put in was 28 gallons and that was the only time I’ve ran it below the 1/4 tank mark. The low gas light hadn’t come on yet though

Isn't the 32 gallon tank for the 2500? My son has a 3/4 ton Ram and his is listed as a 32 gallon fuel tank.

Could be a mistake in the book or you got the incorrect owners manual.

Most I put in my 33 gallon tank was 30.265.

Best regards,
Dusty

As we all know, there was no regular cab model and no 8 foot box on a DT. At least so far. I think the folks who design the marketing material and manuals got some bad info.

Found the media spec sheet shows the correct 125 liter conversion

Up here in Canada they list it as 124.7 litres, 27.4 imperial gallons.
