I used to be able to stream music on the high channels on Sirius around the 700's I think. I still have the all access plan but only get channels to around 400's now no more streaming. I haven't had a uconnect subscription since Nov. Do I need Uconnect to stream music on Sirius? All I have read online says you just need the all access plan. Thoughts

To Stream your 4G must be active and for that I believe that you need Sirius Guardian.

The same thing just happened to me. I can no longer stream the high channels. This change happened in the last week. What’s going on?!

Are we the only ones experiencing this?
I've been reading up on this and in one of the manuals all it says is you need a 3G/4G DATA connection. Now I'm not sure if that means a uconnect or a WIFI hotspot subscription, but I'm guessing a uconnect one. Which is why I'm confused because I haven't had one since 11/20. I also call Sirius and they told me I needed to be hooked up to uconnect.

I have had my truck for about 6 weeks. I never signed up for the free data connection trial so how would I have had the data connection they are citing? What is the uconnect data connection? Is that the same as AT&T wifi hotspot that costs $20/month?

I have spent the day reading everything I can find on this, we have the 360L system and all your supposed to need is the all access plan with Sirius XM. I even reactivated my uconnect this morning to see if that made a difference and it doesn't. I'm calling Sirius tech support on Monday to get some answers.

I spoke to Sirius yesterday and the had to "elevate" the case to another department. The first Sirius agent said I need a data connection by connecting my phone to the vehicle's satellite radio. I have no clue how to do that! The second one I spoke to said I should get those channels and he "elevated" the case but said it would be a week or more before I hear from anyone. When I look at the 700 and 900 channels on the Sirius Channel Guide, they say online only. Are you saying that our 360L system should have whatever connection it needs to stream those in the vehicle? I wonder if there was a UConnect update or something that happened recently that screwed up eevrything?

From what I understand our system has a built-in modem that uses Siriusxm to get those streaming on demand stations. I still get pandora stations which are streaming and a couple of medical talk shows but no high stations. If I push the related button I get an error message saying there's a problem connecting to the Siriusxm network, weak signal.

I’m having the same issue with the “related” button. I found info about the modem in the screen settings. It doesn’t mean anything to me. See attached pics.

Evidently, this problem of losing the streaming has been happening for a while.

I've been getting the "having trouble" screen for about a week. Used to be able to get several selections when I tried related. They were shows from the channel I had selected. Now once in a while it get different channel suggestions but usually the trouble screen. My Pandora stations still worrk and show the Wi-fi symbol so assume they are coming thru ATT&T.

It's not uConnect or SiriusXM, it's your AT&T hotspot. Your free trial probably ran out (it has the shortest trial period out of all those services). Those channels require data to stream music. They don't stream over satellites (not enough channels/bandwidth).

If you sign up for the AT&T vehicle data plan, you will get those stations back in your truck but it'll cost you $10-$20 a month. Or for free, you can just use the SiriusXM app on your phone to access those channels via bluetooth...or through Android Auto or Apple CarPlay.

Where did you get your info from? Because I've talked to the dealership, SirusXM, and uconnect and every person says it has absolutely nothing to do with your hotspot. Not to mention I've had my truck a year and a half and never even activated my hotspot. And how is it I have some on demand and pandora but nothing in the 700 and up range? So I have to go along with everyone else saying it is a sirius issue.

Same problem here, I'm waiting for a call back from the engineering dept. from sirius to see what they have to say. Maybe later I'll sign up for the day or whatever for the hotspot to see what happens.

That’s not correct. Sirius streaming channels have nothing to do with the ATT hotspot. I never signed up for the hotspot trial and I had all the streaming channels. I can still stream the Sirius “Artist Radio” stations I’ve setup in Sirius. It’s just the upper channels in the 790s along with some others that no longer stream.
Our trucks have Sirius 360l which is capable of satellite and streaming. If you have the Sirius All Access trial or a paid subscription you should be able to stream the streaming channels. The 360l has its own data connection independent of the ATT hotspot. It worked great for the 6 weeks I’ve had the truck and then a week or two ago, it was gone!

I just got off the phone with Sirius and their “escalation department”. They told me the issue is with the modem in the vehicle. They said no ATT hotspot is required and that I should get all channels with the All Access subscription. They recommended I take it to the dealer for service. I’m guessing that will yield nothing as the dealers seem to know nothing about this radio and how it works. Let me know if you get a different or better answer. Thanks.

Subscribed. I am having the same issue, plus all others such as no sound, no online address poi search, etc. Worst system I ever had. They tried to hit a home run and it was a foul.
