What did you do to your Ram today???

My comment about Motorola was in regards to components used and build quality. General Electric was old tech, EF Johnson two-way was visionary IMO and the Sonar Radio from Fla was the bomb.

I worked out of their Regional HQ near the BWI airport in the mid-late 80's...grew up north of Baltimore and went to University of Maryland. We never saw GE as a real competitor...EFJ was a good product.

Not only that they also changed the light under the dash (the one which shines on pedals). No more pop the plastic cap and put your LED. Now it is LED soldered on the pcb deal.. so no cool colors for me :-(

Learned that one the hard way. Planned to give the Lasfit bulbs to a buddy with a bighorn. I assumed it was a trim thing and not based on year. Guess I will have him check his footwell lights first.

Installed the Rough Country 6” grille light kit today, took a bit of time to install but was worth the effort. They are a flood light so they light up the ditches better and should make it easier to spot critters that roam at night.

Appreciate your picture. Those certainly appear much brighter than I would have guessed. I've been planning on getting them, but wasn't sure they would be bright enough to be anything more than running lights, or DRLs.

How'd you wire them? Dedicated switch, or with running lights/high beams, etc.?

Ran the wires into the engine bay and through the firewall. On my limited, there's a small nipple below the main wire bundle coming through the firewall. I snipped the end off of it, ran a piece of wire through, and tapped into the foot well lights. Backfilled with some RTV sealant where I cut.

Thanks...haven't looked to see if there was a grommet in the vehicle floor we could come up through. I'll check it out closer and look at the grommet you mentioned. Where did you pick up the hot wire for when the door is open?

but that that is only for 2020 and it is $200.. So far I have changed to LED in map light, dome and vanity and the difference is stunning. sorry for the low quality pic I just snap it really quick but I am sure you can tell how bright and modern looking it is. And for like 50 usd

My lights were just delivered by Amazon...too dark out now to put them on. Will try tomorrow when I get a bit of free time. Night...what did you use to pry out the existing light so you don't "damage" or mark up the mirror itself by just shoving a screwdriver in there? Any tips are appreciated my friend!

I just used a small pocket flat head screwdriver. There is a couple videos on YouTube where they show ya where to pry. I wasn’t to worried about scratching the plastic so much but me dropping the screwdriver and hitting the door or something. It’s pretty hidden so prob won’t see the bottom of the mirror anyway.

Over the weekend installed this switch panel for my hidden light bar and rear cube lights. Also installed a train for from Amazon for $35, can’t speak on the longevity of it yet but so far it sounds good, doesn’t seem to cheaply made, and if it doesn’t work out I’m sure it won’t be the last $35 wasted. Mounted the horn button on the window sill, wasn’t sure if I wanted it into the switch panel as I am unable to program them to be momentary switches/buttons.
