Yes I did get them from Amazon and I really like them on the truck. They are solid yet light due to being constructed out of aluminum. Plus they have about an inch of adjustment in them which allows you to tuck them in next to the pinch weld or out for more foot space.

THANKS for the great write up, pics and advice.

I appreciate it! I agree that I would move the brackets to "pinch" together in the front to promote less flex while stepping in the front.

Truthfully, the boards are more for my wife or other passengers, as I'm 6' 7" and usually just step right over them to get in, but I occasionally do step on them "just because".

I went with the APS iBoard Polished Aluminum boards. I have the old school chrome bumpers and 20 in Chrome wheels, so I wanted a bit of chrome on the boards to tie it together.

The way these are shipped, and I imagine that it is similar with a lot of these boards, the brackets are shipped in pairs in a plastic bag. I noticed that there were some places where the black paint from the factory was thin or down to metal from the pieces rubbing together in shipment - I am talking about the mounting brackets. The boards were packed individually and were fine. Anyway, I hit the brackets with some satin black rustoleum in the small exposed areas before doing the install as a just in case.

Very easy install with quite a bit of adjustability front to back, in and out. I went with them all the way in as I didn't want them sticking out. And at 6 in wide, I can step well on the board even with them tucked in. Wife approved setting as well. Yesterday I got lucky with moderate temps up here in the north country and finally got my Go Rhino D6 boards installed yesterday. Originally I had ordered them from Real Truck then brought them to get sprayed with bed liner but when I picked them up there was a dent in one of the steps. They were brought to the shop still packaged and apparently the tech didnt notice the half dollar size dent and sprayed them anyways. Real Truck was great and sent out another set. If you buy these plan on an extra 1/2 hr to go to the hardware store to get some 3/8 lock and flat washers that will fit the bolts they send. Both packages did not have the correct size for the bolts.

Looks good! I have the same set, just installed them last month. I had no issues with the provided washers...that is interesting.

I had the same concern and was really hoping I could find an option I liked made with aluminum. However, that didn't happen so I took a chance with the D6 boards. They come powdercoated...but to be honest the finish was crap, so I had them bedlined inside and out. If I can get five years out of them, I'll be happy.

After much anguish and research...and coming across @iLikeRamsnow 's boards, I was sold on the Ionic 41's. They are aluminum and fairly low-key. Love them and they were a piece of cake to install. Hope to get some wheels / tires / lift at some point, but the topper and running boards were necessities. Not thrilled about having to get a topper, but this Leer 100XQ looks a million times better than I imagined.

No issue with paint on the "threaded studs" the boards attach to? That was a problem for many.

Everything I had read or watched prior to installing them said to remove the paint first, so I did that with a wire wheel brush attached to my drill. Super easy
