Let's see those running boards/side steps

I get the thought process, but it's not going to help much. These trucks have a round profile, they stick out further in the middle. The rocker where the steps are is tucked in.

Add to that the shape of other cars doors and they will touch your body panel before hitting the step. Try it with a couple other vehicles. Park close and open the door and see what would hit first. Ask me how I know. Just had a dent on each side fixed by paintless dent removal.

Ok, good to know. I'll have to test that out. Probably get the power steps then if that's the case. I feel bad watching my son struggle to climb in lol.

picked up a 2020 big horn mega cab, does the extra length of the "mega" make a difference in which side rails I can use or will any quad cad side steps work?

You sure you have a Mega Cab? The Mega Cabs are only on HD trucks. If it's the truck in your profile picture that is a crew cab with a 5'7" bed. Make sure you are selecting the right vehicle wherever you are buying the steps from.

Jerry, thank you for the update. I'm really not sure, I know the back seat area is bigger than the 05 Daytona Ram I had before. Would that information be in the VIN info?

Run your build sheet with your Vin number. It will tell you every little detail about YOUR truck. Official Mopar® Site | Mopar Vehicle Equipment Sign up with the usual BS and then once you're signed up and in go to "My Vehicle" then click on (right-hand side) "VIN LOOK UP" enter your full Vin Number and there will be your entire build sheets for yours. Click on each one and all YOUR Info will be displayed. It will look like I have below once you put your Vin number in Vin Look up. If you already been there, sorry to duplicate stuff.

Got mine installed a couple weeks ago when I got the spray in bedliner done.

These are Rough Country steps. The step position is adjustable. You can loosen the bolt and slide them where you want them. Bought these mostly for my short 11yo.
