What is everyone using for power and ground for the camera? Also where did you route the wires including the av wire into the cab and behind the dash to pin the connector with?

Hey folks. In an effort to get our trucks front cameras, I picked up the front badge holder with camera hole. Sadly, I think I got the wrong version. It’s already on its way, and will be ordering another plate, but the other version.
What I’m getting.68341469AB to which I’m happy to sell or trade for the proper item. Also my buddy picked up a camera that will fit in the hole. Will add more information when it’s in my hands. Also, would be willing to Mount camera for you. Thanks

I also noticed this when I was at the dealership today. The 2500 rear camera in the CHMSL. It looks like the shape it the same, but missing the two inner screws. Photo below! Wondering if anyone has tried this.

And I think, if you have this grill, you’ll need the one I got coming 68341469AB

My horrid discovery with Mopar parts department in Chicopee Mass is they don’t want to help folks buy parts. They won’t give out part numbers, but you can give them to them and they will look up. So, I don’t recommend Metro Ram in Chicopee Mass.
So hard to find a good parts guy

It may be they want to sell you the parts. Hence why they don't give you the part # as they may think you will just take the part# to whoever has the latest price when they did the leg work. Just a guess.

To which I fully understand! But, that’s the whole area where it makes the parts folk better or worse. More so if you buy a vehicle, or two... Should be able to get the information. But, I get it. I guess that’s one thing we do good at our dealership.

We all know all dealerships are different. That's why I usually deal with AllMoparParts.com. They work with people who like to mod. Usually just tell them what your trying to do and they send you part#s with link to purchase and price.

I asked a question regarding camera mounts in this thread and was told the camera mount is part of the grille. I then came across the emblem backing plates with the camera mount being discussed here.

So do I understand correctly that the camera mount emblem backing plate can be installed on a grille that did not originally have a camera mount?

Yes and no.... Some grills have a separate mounting plate that snaps in but I know on Rebel grills the ram nameplate it is built into the grill.

As stated, the OEM camera does have a mount that goes with the grill and support. Depends on what version you have.
As mentioned tho, you can not use the factory oem camera. (Digital Vs. analog input) (as far as we’ve been able to tell) so, folks like me are trying to use the factory grill part to mount an aftermarket camera.

I've ordered a Laramie Sport, which has the paint matched grille. It will come with the front camera. I want to replace the paint matched grille with an all black grille.

There is black grille from a Big Horn for sale nearby and I'm trying to determine if I can simply swap the emblem/camera from my grille to the black grille, if I were to buy it.

If his grill does not have a camera, you’ll have to buy parts. Take a look at your grill now. If the camera mounts to the grill as well (has a portion of the grill frame missing behind the emblem) then you may not be able to use it.

Nothing to look at yet. Truck is still being built :)

Ah ok yeah that’s what I’m trying to figure out. I do have that same grille here though. Maybe I’ll go ahead and order that part number. Does it just pull out of do you have to remove the whole grille?

Has anyone successfully done this with a 2020 non-nav? Regardless of changing the settings in AlfaOBD, the soft key does not show up on my display.
