Best place to purchase Mopar official Mopar warranty- dont buy from local dealer!

Was that DIRECT from FCA, or an online dealer? I will double check on this one.

This morning, I received an e-mail warning of a price increase coming next week. Traditionally, FCA has previously done increases every September.

I did manage to confirm a couple of things.

This email DID NOT come direct from FCA......It came from Chrysler Warranty Direct, which CR Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Adrian, MI.

They, like many other RAM dealers, sell Mopar ESP's online.

So, "perhaps" might be a scare notification for them to boost their end of month sales.

Zeigler has no notifications of any price changes on their website.

It was from a dealer. They claimed that FCA informed them of a price increase effective 9/1 but was not privy to the details until then.

There was as price hike last year around this time too for Mopar extended warranties. Added about $1000 to the policy I was looking at.

Abou 8 weeks later and the prices started to drop and leveled out not much more than they were before.

Maybe coincides with the new MY to catch some new buyers?

Guess we'll know the 1st.

Its kinda like do I buy now or wait.
Sorta like incentives/rebates. Do I act now, or wait til 1st of the month to see if they are better.

With no specific word on any price increases (just rumors)....guess it depends if you wanna gamble.

I don't ever think they're going to go any lower. Ziegler is pretty much at cost.

Since I've had my truck (almost a year and a half) FCA has stopped the lifetime warranty and had a price hike for the extended warranties. Plus there's a price bump at 12K miles and 24K miles if you are buying before the basic (B2B) warranty expires.

The warranty starts from the day you purchased your truck regardless of when you purchase the policy (if it's an extended warranty for a new truck). The longer you wait the more it's going to cost.

I played the waiting game and ended up paying $300 more than if I had gotten it within a couple of months of getting the truck.

First post here, I found this via thread Google search.

So is this exact same MOPAR Maximum Care warranty that I'd buy at my local dealer?

I take it it's just cheaper because this dealer is trying to sell a large volume of them and they'll likely never have to actually perform the service on it?

I plan on calling them tomorrow because it's a lot less than my dealer quoted me - and I have had it less than a year and only have like 8,000 miles.

Same MOPAR plan.
Sell online - cheaper . . . .
Like insurance..... you might need it and might not. what difference does it make it the dealer never performs service?

There is a surcharge after 12000miles/12 months.

Zeigler has been the cheapest online. Use the promo code "PAYINFULLL" for an extra $365 off.

No problem with Ziegler but late last year Clay Robbins and Robbins Motors was less money than Ziegler for my 8/125 warranty.
[email protected] or they are in Manhattan KS if you want to call them.

Definitely call around to some of the ones listed in this thread. Some may offer a better deal on the specific plan you are looking for. Ask if they have a discount (many do). As GregHBNA said Ziegler has the PAYINFULL discount code for $365 off the plan if you buy it outright. If you plan to finance for 12 months you can use the DAMON2 code with them for $100 off the plan. Another factor (if you are financing) is that each has different requirements on the "down payment" so that may play a factor in your choice too.

Yes, 16 pages is a lot to read and the phone calls may take some time to make but you will save money in the long run. I look at it this way - if you saw a $100 bill blowing down the street in the wind would take the time to go after it?

For me Ziegler had the best deal for the 7 year / unlimited miles / $100 deductible plan I wanted, but the others were close.

Yes and no.

If you already have the truck and are looking to go in and purchase a Mopar Maximum Care Plan then it's the same (your situation).

If you are buying the truck and they offer you an extended warranty when you go into the finance office then it may not be. They could be offering you a 3rd party warranty plan. Even if it is a Mopar warranty the price will be grossly inflated.

There are razor thin margins on these plans sold online, so I was wondering HOW much one retailer was selling below one another. Usually ~$100.

I don't recall exactly but it wasn't a lot. Same product so I took the low number.

That’s because there are a lot of combinations and prices fluctuate frequently (no matter how slight). It’s easier to discuss where we got the best deals from and who we contacted so people interested can call to see who has the best price for the policy they want at that time.

In the interest of price dropping: I got the 7 years / unlimited miles / $100 deductible from Ziegler for a smidge over $3300.

I have a 4wd drive so that ups the price a bit and I used the DAMON2 code for $100 off.

I tried to ride it out for a price drop and ended up pulling the trigger @ ~15K miles so paid an extra $300 for purchasing after 12K miles. Live and learn.

I purchased one for my mother's 2019 Chrysler 300 today. Mopar maximum 7 years/75,000 with $100 deductible for $1085.

From Zeigler and the pay in full coupon.

Thanks to the fourm!

Someone asked how can they afford to do it so cheap. One reason is because it isn't backed by FCA. The extended warranty is an FCA LLC entity that can legally shut down with no responsibility, liability and get reinvented later with via signatures and state court filings.

There are many arguments against extended warranties but the schlock they are providing now is tops. Business is much different these days. Lots of shell operations to protect the mothership's liability and profits. If FCA produces a crap product line they can still decline warranty work and ultimately fold the extended warranty LLC if forced to do excess repairs. It's a pig in a poke.

It might be a better idea to save that extended warranty money and use it one year earlier for your next new vehicle purchase.

As always, you decide for yourself.
