Best place to purchase Mopar official Mopar warranty- dont buy from local dealer!

Hi, I bought a 2019 RAM 1500 Laramie 4x4 CPOV with 48k miles recently. It has the CPOV extended warranty and still under the 3 Month MaxCare. Considering to upgrade to MaxCare long term. Has any gotten MaxCare directly from the Mopar website (moparserviceplans.com)? I got quoted for 8 year 100k @ $100 deductible for $2350. Would love some advice.
Just buy it from Zeigler and save some money. Its the same ESP you would buy off the mopar site.

Some clarity, "I just got off the phone with Mopar Vehicle Protection claims and the informed me that the eTorque is not a covered system. I was previously told it was a covered component. Sorry for the confusion."

However, I did find out that some components of the eTorque system are covered 8 years/80k miles as part of the factory warranty. Warranty PDF (check out pages 3 and 16)
Sorryni didnt read all these pages if this was answered..but how is etorque not a covered system its part of the powertrain. So after three years with the extended warranty its not covered?

Hi folks, has any purchased mopar extended warranty from https://www.chryslerwarrantydirect.com/ ? I got quotes from Zeigler but their quote is $150 more than chryslerwarrantydirect.com. Thanks in advance!
that's hard to believe. Post your quote criteria. Zeigler has always been the cheapest, even if by $25.

There WAS a price increase about a month ago, it may be different on some of the higher priced plans, but the price increase was company wide for all retailers.

I just did a comparison . . . Zeigler was $320 CHEAPER than chryslerwarrantydirect.
Criteria 2020 Ram 1500, under 12000 miles, $100 deductible, MAX CARE 7 year 75000 miles
$1535 versus Zeigler's $1215.
So, I am not what configuration you were using for your quote, but I can't imagine it was $150 MORE.

I have CPOV with the powertrain 7-year extended warranty but wanted to upgrade to MaxCare. Since my truck already has 48k miles, it's a bit non standard from most people. Quoted for 8/100 with $100 deductible. Zeigler started at $1695. I asked to use the PAYINFULL $365 coupon but they said they couldn't honor it because it wasn't a standard SKU directly on the website. Made no sense. They then came down to $1595. ChryslerWarrantyDirect quoted $1480 out of the gate w/o me even asking for discounts. Zeigler said would meet but could not beat.

I can probably get the to go down to $1280. Unless Zeigler comes back proactively with a lower price. I think Zeigler may be loosing its touch.

I think all the dealer ones were mopar. The guy REALLY wanted me to buy the lifetime powertrain one. Which I see they discontinued right after I bought the truck.

Question for the group since I have not bought any extended warranty's but getting a Ram 1500 limited and there is a lot now on this puppy that I am concerned if computers start breaking. So my question:

1) Bumper to bumper for 3 years should cover all issues (exclude wear and tear) however is there any advantage other than costs to wait on getting the Maximum Care warranty through Ziegler? Do you get "extra" coverage with Ziegler Max Care now that is not under the bumper to bumper that would save your butt during the bumper to bumper window?

Please note that I know there are other plans that Zeigler offers that does go above but I was looking at the Max Care only (5007+ components).

The bumper to bumper covers everything but wear components (which are covered for 1 year).

The only advantage to buying early is the price break. It fluctuates and is dependent on the policy but for my 7 year/unlimited miles it was about a $300 price bump at 12K miles and another $300 after 24K miles. Other policies will be different.

You have to buy before the 3/36 is up otherwise it is a different policy and is noticeably more pricey.

Nothing trumps your 3/36 basic or 5/60 powertrain warranty so you are really buying a policy that will pick up the baton when those run out.

It doesn't matter when you buy it, the policy effective date is the date you bought the truck so if you're going to get one you might as well get it for the best price now and save the cost increase down the road (if it's in your budget).

I waited a bit and didn't get mine until 20K miles and I ended up paying about $300 more than if I would have bought it before 12K miles.

For me it was a logical choice because I was doing 30K miles a year pre-COVID so my 3/36 was going to be done in less than 18 months so my Max Care policy will pick up w-a-y before 3 years. Even now I'm on track for 20K miles/year. So for me it was miles vs. time since I far exceed the 12K/year assumption for the warranty.

I've got 35K miles now so my bumper to bumper will be up before Thanksgiving (20 months) so I effectively get an "extra" year out of my Max Care. I expect to be passing 60K miles in another 18 months or so which will give me "extra" 2 years on my Max Care for the powertrain.

That is what I figured though I didn't know it started on the date of truck purchase. Thanks for the extra detail and your right, it doesn't make any sense to wait unless you don't have the funds now. BTW - wow 30k a year, that is a lot.

Strangely, I bought 2 vehicles from Chrysler dealers this year and both offerred the maxcare warranty very close to Ziegler's price.

Ok here’s the situation. Just bought a 2019 Big Horn 4x4 5.7l eTorque with level 2 electronics. 21,600 miles.

This is what I see for pricing at 8yr 125k miles. I would be doing the $200 deductible.

Ziegler
Maxcare $3060
Added care plus $1840
Power Train plus $1895

Chrysler warranty Direct
Maxcare $3045
Added care Plus $2130
Power Train Plus $1660

I am not a rich man, I want some peace of mind and I have had one issue with the eTorque in the first week I’ve had this truck. It said service needed then went away.
I am leaning towards buying the Ziegler added care plus. It covers engine, trans, 4x4, steering, cooling, a/c, brakes, suspension, electrical, power seats, and instrumentation.

Any advice or other things to consider?
