Has anyone seen or installed a keyless entry key pad similar to the picture. I have a 2019 Ram 1500 Bighorn and am looking to add this to my truck if its available. I have not had much luck finding any that are made for the truck. Thanks in advance

Why would anyone want to muddy the exterior of a beautiful truck with such an ugly keypad? If you wanted a keypad, you should have bought a FORD.

Let me put it like this:
I’ve been in the Army 18 years, I run in groups a lot (or rather I run groups a lot) off-site away from home. I don’t keep my keys with me because they either
a.) dingle dangle from my waist and and fall out every 1/4 mile
or
b.) I hold them in my sweaty hands the whole time which gets really old, really quick.
I have been known to “stash” my keys on the truck, but honestly it’s not the best plan if I can install a keypad for my RAM. Hell, I’ve even thrown my keys in a buddy’s Ford because he had a keypad and could lock em up.
That’s why

I'm with you, Krootz. I have an F-150 and the keypad entry on it is a really great (sometimes invaluable) feature. I would love to see one on a Ram. I will be watching this thread to see if anyone can get this working. If so, it will surely be an "upgrade" in my opinion and I will be installing it by following their lead.
When deciding whether or not to get another F-150 to replace my current sled, the only aspect of the Ram causing me pause was losing the keypad entry (actually there was this little thing called a Lazerlite Tonneau too, which I really love but they do not make anymore). However, every other aspect of the Ram is superior to the Ford.
I hope someone smarter than me with electronics can figure out a keypad hack for our Rams.
How about it 5thGenRams' engineers and inventors? Anyone think they can get this hack working?

I’ve seen them before associated with alarm kits. From what I remember, it was like a coded key fob that attached to the lower driver corner of the windshield next to the VIN. I just haven’t seen a stand-alone version, maybe I’ll start looking in that direction since I haven’t seen anything else specific to the RAM.
Please keep me posted. I will begin searching too and let you know if I find any reasonable candidates or possibilities.

I’m shocked there isn’t a battery powered (wireless) universal keypad option that works like my garage door opener. I thought “well hell my garage has a wireless keypad, I’m sure they make one for cars.” Not the case...or at least not one that is worth a damn anyway.
I’m wondering if the OEM ford keypad can be hacked in order to work for RAMs (or all cars for that matter). Because ford is using the wireless battery powered type keypad that I’m looking for.
I need a electronic genius to chime in and maybe shed some light on this. Ford keypads are a dime a dozen online from what I found...and they are obviously good quality.
Yeah, there are some pretty smart folks in here. Hopefully, one of them will run across this thread and dig into it.
BTW, Apple is coming out with CarKey, which I understand works with Apple Watch and IOS 14 (out this Fall). I believe this may work with the Connect AppleCarPlay functions and possibly unlock our Rams. I am still reading posts about it. Some goofy BMW version is going to be the first vehicle with this integrated into the vehicle's systems, but I am hopeful our Rams will work with it. This way I can use my watch to open the doors and start the engine and leave my keys at home.

Last F-150 I had came with the keypad. When I got it I thought, "What a useless feature. Why or when would you ever use THAT?"
Well, a few months into ownership I found myself using the keypad ALL THE TIME.

I have had a few of those on previous cars and lost them, but only discovered they were lost when I needed the keys to get into my car. I know the best place to put them is on the inside of the frame, but driving over rough country they bounce off and poof, gone. Not a good option in my opinion.
