Hey everyone,
Just signed up I got a 2020 Laramie with the etorque who could have guessed from the name right. But went into the dealer for 2nd time in a week and has been there since Thursday with the etorque battery pack that from what I’m told is located under the driver seat; has gone bad and keeps killing my battery throes check engine lights (not happy with this at all). My first trip to the dealer I was told oh just a loose connection to now it’s a part that is maybe 2/3 weeks out, then wasn’t even asked oh maybe this guy needs a loaner vehicle, wasn’t called back today like I was supposed to have been, just ****! Anyone else having problems with this damn etorque ?!

A few have had issues with DOA batteries, but not too much else. It’s located behind the driver’s side rear seat. Hope they get a new one swapped out for you!

no probs with mine either, but then only about 1000 miles.

wonder how long it sat on the dealer lot?

with the plant and parts manufacturing shut down I can see where getting new parts might take time. I have been waiting for the tailgate cable for almost 3 weeks.

hope you get it resolved soon.

My daughter had to have the 48v etorque battery replaced on her 2019 Rebel. She waited almost a month for the replacement. But this was back in November 2018, and I'm sure it was because the system was still pretty new. Different reasons for lack of parts now, but it still sucks to have to wait. I've also been waiting for almost 3 weeks for a tailgate cable. At least that part doesn't affect drivability.

You normally have to request a loaner. The don't automatically just give you one.

No problems yet in 4000 miles on my 2019 HEMI eTorque but it certainly is always in the back of my mind as something that could go easily...

Definitely true. You could say the same thing about pretty much every system on most new vehicles now. Everything is computer controlled, and even the simplest part failing could render your car/truck useless. Etorque definitely wasn't something I wanted. It just wasn't enough of a deal-breaker to keep me from buying a truck with etorque, if it had everything else I wanted.

Yeah,
So I’m still waiting for a loaner.... it’s been over a week I’ve had to call RAM customer care send emails and still have got nothing; besides “they would look into it” I bought a $60,000 truck what’s there to look into. I’m a disabled Veteran with 3 kids and my wife is a RN that works nights. I need a vehicle Incase there were something to happen at home; I guess I’ll just carry kids on my arms with one working leg: totally fine thanks RAM such “care” loose quotes. I’ve had 4 ram 1500’s, a Jeep Cherokee, grand Cherokee& and 2019 wrangler JLU. This is crap! I haven’t gotten any calls from dealer I’ve had to call them for updates?. Yeah that doesn’t seem right wonder if I should be on their payroll I mean I’m paying for a truck to sit in a lot and I’m getting absolutely no sort of urgency or care with this. Thanks FCA (y):poop:

This is absolutely crap. I'd see about talking to the GM at that dealer and see if he can make it right.
Also, from the bottom of my heart, thank you sir for your service and sacrifice.

Yeah the GM originally took my truck in when they had it back to me in 2 hours saying it was a loose battery cable the. Magically at 50 miles : like taking off the negative terminal of battery: like we used to do back in the day to get cars through the emission station ;lol, it came right back you’d think, the thing that pisses me off is the lack of customer service like that’s your job! But like others if you don’t buy from them or the sale is done your just an annoyance for them. Sad

Thanks, same here.
Original ally it hit at 1,145 miles
Then again at 1,200. Now it’s just sitting on their lot in the corner like a Dunce child that no one wants to look at.

Did you ask for a loaner vehicle?

Yes,
I was told I had to call RAM customer care to file a concern/complaint with vehicle; I was told this after then having vehicle for 5 days the. It went into RAM care would look into it? I asked them look into what I need a loaner vehicle; I’ve emailed and called them and now getting no responses back. They told me on the phone the dealer hasn’t sent for any parts yet, then it was they ordered you a battery, then a torque converter/battery all within the same sentence. I asked them so there was no parts ordered but you have a list of everything they ordered......

And that’s my final state .. lmao

We will see how this goes.

Day 8 of no loaner vehicle, @RamCares has issued for information on what is currently going on, still no reply back from my case manager or dealership. Spoke to a gentleman last night while we took our Jeep out and kids for ice cream that he also (had) a 2019 with etorque and advised me the truck shut off on him completely going down one of our highways at 75mph that seems reassuring. Did I make a mistake by getting this truck? @RAM @FCA. Making me question my Mopar roots.
