Can't wait for the ICON 2.5" lift for the 2019 Ram 1500. I have owned my 1500 since July of 2018 and have held off on the MOPAR lift to see what gets released. I want some reservoir shocks, but no one seems to have come up with any for the new '19 setup. I have read in other places that the older 4th gen lifts work with the new 5th gen, but the height is not the same. For example, the 6" lifts only lift it 4". I am not sure how they work with the new setup since the mounts seem to be different.

Short answer is they don’t work. The geometry is different hence the different height outcomes. People that are doing it are either ignorant, impatient, or were screwed over by who they bought it from. Some guy on here is running Bilstein 5100’s from the gen 4 body but even at max height which should net 2.5” he is only getting 1.5” and maxing out the shock.

I have a 3.5 ready lift with 35 BFG tires and 3.21 gears. There’s no issues, plenty of power and in fact you’ll get slightly better fuel economy on the highway due to the lower RPMs. Unless you’re hauling something very heavy all the time, go for the 3.5 and 35s. If you do change your tire size I’d recommend going with the pulsar so you can program the new tire size in there so that your speedo is accurate
First time posting here, but I had a question about your setup. Sorry in advance if I jack up the flow of this thread. I have a 19 Laramie with factory 22s. I added a 2.5" lift/level to the front and 2" wheel spacers. I mounted a set of 35x12.50s knowing they would rub, but they rub a lot. Do you think switching to the 3.5 would fix the rub? Your post says it should...but man, it sure doesn't look like it. Thanks in advance.

Do you have wheel spacers?

Go Big Trucks in Ventura just put a pre-production Icon kit on a white ‘19 rebel. Check out their Instagram

I have 3.5" ReadyLift with 35x12.50 Nitto Ridge Grapplers. It needs better shocks on it IMO. I am patiently waiting on new release.

Can you not add the Fox shocks that come with the Mopar lift to the ready lift?

I would highly advise against that. The first obvious thing would be not using the preload spacer, so now you’re down to the 2” level on top of the 2” Fox shock lift which would net you 4” or so. This is just too much lift without a differential drop. You might be able to get away with the UCA’s but there is nothing you can do about the CV angles. Even with little to no off-roading you will be at high risk of damaging those.

Isn't the preload spacer the 2" part of the lift and the top hat spacer the 1 1/2" on the Readylift SST kit? The Fox 2" strut would replace the removed 2" preload spacer. Am I looking at this wrong?

Did you add any extra shocks? How is the ride? I have the exact truck in the 2020.
Just did the tough country 3.5” with the control arms. 35x12.5x20 cooper at3 lt. mounted on fuel hostage 20x10 -24 offset and absolutely love it. Sorry it’s dark when finished. I’ll get more pics

First off, This is my first truck....so no experience in lifts. I am coming from a BMW X5. I am an Avid Mountain Biker so I go off road to get to trails which with my BMW....performed horribly. I won't be towing anything....at least no plans to yet. This is my daily driver as well. I am looking at the 3.5" ready lift SST or Mopar 2" lift. I like the level look of the RL kit...but I would assume the Mopar would ride better. With the Readylift kit, the plan would be to replace the front shock with Bilstein 5100's when they get released so I could run the Kit without the front preload spacers. I will be keeping the stock wheels, 20x9 0 offset but won't be able to upgrade the tires for a bit.....plus i got the Road Hazard/wheel protection package for free from the dealer for 5 years...wouldn't mind getting a little value out of that. When I do change the tires i'd want Nitto Ridge Grapplers 295-60r20. Not set on size yet....but don't want full 35's as I have 3.21 gearing.

I'm hoping you guys could give me some advice to help me make my decision. Thanks in advance for any insight!
Dont the bilstein 5100s just preload the spring the opposite way to get the height?
