Just picked up 2019 ram 1500 Laramie
Great truck for 2 hours. After two hours back up camera and surrounding camera do not work. It just say “check surrounding” without any image. Called dealer, first available appointment is after 4 days.
Any help?

I had a glitch in mine about 2 weeks after purchasing, and the backup and surround cameras stopped working for about a day and a half. Once they came back on, they haven't had any issues since. Don't know if that makes you feel any better or worse, but that was my experience. All of these electronics are awesome when working properly, but every once in a while, something needs to be reset (like our phones or our computers, right?). Hopefully, it is already back on and working for you now and you never have the issue again.
 
Yesterday I tried all buttons and searched online to look for solutions. Couldn’t find it. When I started this morning seems like something is resetting and now it is working. I am not sure if I did something or it is just software issue that needs to be reset once in a while.
Anyhow now camera is working again without repair.
 
It's software... the 8.4's had the same issue for awhile and it was resolved with a software update.

That being said, it CAN be a loose wire, but it usually isn't.
Ditto. My 8.4 had the same issue, except the screen went blue, and was fixed with updates. Uconnect is still the best infotainment system available IMO.
 
I've read on this forum that people who have the bed liner were having this problem, the reason that matters is they unplug the tailgate harness from the truck to spray the liner and in the process of removing and installing the tailgate harness the prongs in the plug can make a bad connection.

Now camera is working fine. Second day of driving. Drove about 60 miles so far. Adoptive cruise control and frontal crash warning feature just turned off and saying it needs service. Wow!
I love this truck but having issue two days in a row for the first two days?

Yes that will be very helpful.
So first day was back up camera completely not working
2 nd day. FCW and adoptive cruise are not working.
3 rd day. Window sensor not working with automatic high beam.

All matter resolved next day when Car left off and restart next day. Seems like radio system that control all of the above has to be updated or something.
So far fourth day. When I back up from drive way it FCW not working Sign keep blinking and when I put D from R the light turns off.

Truck runs great but there gotta be some software issue.
 
My 12 inch screen camera stopped working same issue as described above. Dealer replaced camera no more issues

I am having issues with my backup camera not working and speakers stopped working. The speakers came back on after I brought it into the dealer and the connected to the ECM. Not sure if it was related but at least the speakers now are working. I will be calling the service department in the morning to get an appointment. Hoping it is a quick fix. I will keep you posted.
 
My UConnect software just downloaded an update and now I’ve got the blue screen using the backup camera.
Fortunately I have an appointment at the dealership tomorrow for my brakes.

Hi. Last week truck had no issue except when I back up “FCW off” Sign shows up. Since yesterday whole screen went dark. And back up camera nor radio are not working. I can see fan speed sign on screen and when I turn off engine screen shows ram sign for turning engine off. Should I wait a day again see if it works or what should I do?
Please advise.

I have the same issue. 3 days after I picked up the truck, back up camera went blue and it get fixed automatically. but comes back again. Sent dealer-service all the information and they said they will look into it. I am still kind a pissed with the sales team of my dealership. I wanted help from them to help me address the issue with the service since it is a brand new truck but they don't respond well. As if, as soon as truck is sold, they are hands off.

My dealership told me today that a software update is not expected until March 2019!
 
I just got a '19 Limited with a 12" screen. Worked great for three weeks, and then last night my backup screen went blue. I tried disconnecting the battery but no luck.

For those who have taken to the dealership to get fixed, do you know what the fix was? Would prefer not to miss work to go to the dealership.
 
Do the software updates update automatically or do you need to bring the truck back to the dealer?
 
Some have been reporting that the 12" system updates over the air. There is an update page on the Uconnect website, enter your VIN and it will tell you if you're up to date.
 
Dropped off the truck at the dealership this AM. Just got the call that they have to order a new "module" for the backup camera, and it is on backorder.
