I am about to start installing RC 2" leveling struts. Taking double safety measures with solid wood stand on the size I will be working on as a backup.
First side took 3 hours, mainly 2 hours to get UCA ball joint to separate. After that all was easy. Working on the second side and it took 3 hammer blows to separate ball joint. Looks like RC struts about the same length as OEM and they just use stiffer coils.

Truck is still on stands but I had to raise it up to get tire back on with new struts.

Do they send me a wrong part in the box? Box labeled correctly but instruction inside was for 2009- 2019 model years...

Man that sucks, perhaps the kit they sent was for the DS and not the DT? Have you checked the part # from their site vs what they sent you?

I did not, website only shows SKU#, and part number only shown on the actual strut. I did 100 % ordered for DT correct SKU#, as DS has different #.

Some Chinese knock off from eBay for the Toyota Tacoma.. surprisingly it fits like a glove! I put 3m double tape to hold it in place. you can also hold it from the sides with a zip tie.
