The throttle lag on this truck kills me... I too had thought these products were just amping up the throttle input which you could do with a bit more aggression in the pedal yourself... but if it's able to go past the throttle lag programming, consider me sold. Think I'll be ordering one.

Again the best part is that 30 day return policy. Try various settings for a week and if it doesn’t do it for you, send it back with why.

@Chippy, is it safe to assume that you found Race-3 to be your sweet spot?
Yes keep in mind my other vehicle is a tuned Hellcat so I might like it a little more aggressive than others. This made driving this truck bearable.

I managed to find a used Pedal Commander on Facebook marketplace yesterday evening, so I went and got it. I like it overall since it fixes the lethargic stock pedal programming, BUT... I don't think it did much of anything for the initial lag you get if you quickly stab at or release the accelerator. There's about a 1/4 second delay before the truck responds to accelerator changes, and this includes letting the foot off the accelerator, and even if I activate cruise control at my current speed - usually I'll lose 1-2 MPH before cruise actually kicks in. Not sure what the deal is with these trucks... never had any of my many other vehicles behave like this.

I think I like the race-3 too. I certainly wish I had an hellcat enabled vehicle.

It's referred to as torque management programming and it's been around since the 90s. Basic point is to reduce wheel spin and limit the abuse on transmissions set up for comfort over performance. I will say the DT trucks have more than the DS by my seat-of-the-pants-meter, and reminds me of how my 98 Chevy was before I modified and tuned it.

So no way this voids any part of the factory warranty? Surely the dealership could see this was used historically, even if you remove the product. That being said, the soft spongy response kills my soul a little bit each day I drive this truck.

Ummm.... No, they cannot see it in any history. These are intercept modules that simply take the input and modify it using a scaler which is then output. It's the oldest possible technology for "tuning" straight out of the 80s!
Now an uber savvy master tech, or definitely a programming engineer could see it in real-time if it's on the truck and they're cross-referencing parameters, but that's about it.

You forgot to end that reply with, " and quit calling me Shirley". (Airplane reference)

Ordered. Aside from a few fit and finish issues that these trucks seem to all have, the throttle response is the one thing that really bugs me about this truck. If $300 makes the difference in actually enjoying driving my $XX,XXX truck then it will be money very well spent.

If throttle response is your goal, you will be disappointed. If throttle sensitivity is your complaint, it will handle that.

Ok, the video is pretty convincing. This is the first that I have heard about Sprint Booster and it has my attention. I despise the throttle lag in my truck. Not too long ago, however, everyone was praising the Pedal Commander. Then, suddenly, reports of the Pedal Commander throwing all kinds of warning lights and causing issues arose. Honestly, I don't need more horsepower. I just need the truck to react when I want it too, so maybe the Sprint Booster is for me. I would be interested to hear some honest and thorough evaluations of this product. If money grew on trees at my house then I would just buy one right now. Someone convince that this either IS or IS NOT the magical device I have been searching for.

See I hope this is one of those situations we’re we lose context in texting because that came across sounding entitled to me. However I did state back here it works as advertised etc. Do your research internet really makes that easy nowadays. I don’t make money selling anything so I’m not going to spend time to convince anybody. My research led me to what I chose. Good luck

I used the Sprint booster on my 2015 and 2016 Hemi Ram's, and really liked the product. It has more settings now than it did back then, so I am considering giving it a try again. I have been running the Pedal Commander in my 17 and 18 (non Bluetooth unit) and love it, but it does not work for the new 2019's. With all of the issues the new Bluetooth unit seems to have, I will probably go back to Sprint.

I certainly appreciate you starting this thread; but I'm not sure why you are being so condescending. We all know that you can search the internet forever to try to come to a conclusion or to find information. One of the reasons we participate in forums is to communicate with likeminded people who may be able to share experiences that are applicable to us. This gives us a place to find information and to share information that is specific and from a mostly trusted source (other owners). The whole "do your research" thing is exactly what I was doing by asking for input from others. Thank you for your initial review; since I would have not known about this product otherwise.

The Bluetooth for I don’t know why lights the check engine light. I’ve been using it without the Bluetooth and it works very well had it at city plus4 and switched to plus 3 and that’s my sweet spot. When I’m being a psychopath I switch it to sport. The only reason I can see why you want sport plus is if you want o light them up at every light/stop. I mean got damn this 19 ram 1500 has some power.

Sounds like you're just mincing words here. I want to push the pedal and make the truck go. Good enough?

EDIT: The videos posted by Sprint Booster seem to indicate that it will indeed be more "responsive", if it's not to my liking I will simply take advantage of the return policy.

Me too. I'll post back after I get mine installed. 30-day return seems to make it a pretty safe bet though?

I have no interest in extra HP, tuning, racing or any of those things--I just want a more responsive gas pedal. Shame Ram didn't decide to simply include a "sport" mode that is so common on so many other vehicles.

Another alternate is Vitesse Motorsports Throttle Controller. Does the exact same thing but for $179.

I’ve used them on my previous, 09 G8 GT, 14 Chevy SS, 16 Ram Sport and now my 19 Ram Laramie.

Imagine this extreme example. You only push the pedal 1 inch forward, there's a 10 second delay, then the truck goes from idle to wide open throttle.

I watched the SprintBooster video and was immediately sold on the 1:1 throttle response. But I don't think that's the issue with these trucks. There is a delay from the time you move the pedal any direction and the truck reacts - it's about a 1/4 second. I didn't buy the SB but got the Pedal Commander instead, and it did not change this behavior. I don't think any of these electronic throttle programmers will fix that complaint.

What these throttle programmers will do is change how much oomph you get across your pedal travel. Want to push the pedal 1 inch and go WOT? There's probably a setting for that, and then obviously anything in between. So you can tune the pedal sensitivity to your liking, but not the responsiveness of changes in pedal position.
