I'm retired so no employer, the only organization I could find that would work was AAA. It then told me that it wasn't available in my region ( N.E. Ohio).

Yeah I heard that about AAA, is weird. I think you can choose Allstate even if they aren't your insurer. If you read backward thru the posts that's what others have done. Give that a try. Do you have a non fca vehicle in your household or did you trade one in? If so you should be good to go
