How long does your gauge cluster stay on after locking the truck?

Somewhat random question. I looked out at my truck tonight from one story above where it’s parked. My center gauge cluster (between the tach and speedometer) is still on, but I closed and locked my truck a half-hour ago. Is there any reason that would be normal?

I dont think that is normal. Mine stays on like 30 secs after lock and I think there is a setting in uconnect but doubt anywhere near a half hour is an option. If anything is left on (even on acc mode) it will shut off after about ten min by default to save the battery.

I would think so too. Update: it’s been on all night. It’s going to the dealer for another issue today so we will see what they say about this one.

Def not normal. Keep us posted in outcome. You can try “resetting” by disconnecting the negative battery cable for 30 minutes and see if that clears out the gremlins. Sometimes it’s a onetime thing.

I had this happen, please see my previous thread. It ended up needing a new radio frequency hub.

Thanks. I didn’t realize there is a thread already on this issue. It does seem very similar to your experience. My dealer has my truck now but so far can’t diagnose the issue.

Happened to me twice. The gauge and nav screen stayed on for hours. I had to start the truck and drive it around to get it to go off. I haven’t gotten it to the dealer yet because I literally just got it back after it was in for 6 weeks. I spoke to the Service Manager about it and he opened a case.

Why did you not search the forum before posting another thread about the same thing? This has been well documented along with the fix to the problem. Researching the forum is your friend and prevents multiple posts on the exact same topics and cluttering up the forum.

Hi Ram92131,
Feel free to send us a private message if you need any additional assistance while your dealer works on finding a potential solution.

I did search. Apologies if my search skills are not up to the standard of this forum. Mods, please feel free to close this thread if it’s polluting things.

Bad news for the forum police = the search function is terrible. If you really want to help the OP why not include a link to the non-polluting thread?

Sorry...I will add that to my list of things to do each day. See post 20
