Gauge Cluster lighting

On my Limited the RPM and Speed gauges don't seem to be really lit up evenly. So the middle of the cluster is bright but it fades quite a bit around start and end of the numbers. Does yours look like this?

Hmm is this noticeable during the day or just at night? I actually haven’t driven mine at night yet. I haven’t noticed anything off though. I’ll look today when I get back in
 
This is during the day, I haven't driven mine at night either :)
 
I'm three weeks in and haven't noticed any abnormal lighting night or day on the dash. Let's see some pics??
 
Yea I dunno. I can’t notice anything off in mine. I agree with trying to take a photo of it when you can.
 
Thanks, I am going to go see one on the lot when I can and see if it's the same.

I went to the local dealer and started a Limited. The gauge cluster was uniformly lit on both dials for RPM and Speed. This is unfortunate because now I need mine addressed. You cannot tell in the pics because of the way the lighting is, but on both my dials for RPM and Speed only the middle numbers are brightly lit, the other appear to fade to nothing. Looks like a trip to the dealer. He also told me a recall was coming this week but didn't know what it was :unsure:

Little vindictive of me but I would not mind a MINOR recall. My closest dealer who will service my truck in the future were kinda *******s to me previously. I tried to get a truck from them when I grew tired of waiting for my order and they told me that the price I was given could in no way be correct and I would be in for a “Rude Awakening” when my factory order arrived.

The day Terry gets to see me in my new Limited and I can gloat about the price and how wrong he was will be a wonderful day.
 
I found a video on YouTube and it appears the gauges on this truck are just like mine so I am a little confused as to what it's supposed to be like. Take a look and look at yours. If you look at the speed dial it's evident that the numbers are only lit around 40-80 or so . Is that normal?

Update

The truck went to the dealer on Monday and they compared this to a new limited and concluded it needed a new cluster. They called me yesterday afternoon and said the cluster arrived and they were installing it Thursday. I'll let you know the final outcome.

Picked up the truck and the new cluster is the same or worse than what they took out. Went to a new one and compared and it's brightly lit and uniformed through all numbers. They dropped my key on the concrete I guess and nicked it up. I'm not real pleased with all this taking my stuff apart to fix this with 500 miles on the truck. Yeah I know it's mass produced and problems happen. So I called RAM customer care and we'll see where it goes. Stay tuned.
 
Bummer - hope it gets sorted out. If its any consolation, I'm headed to the dealer today to have them check on a blend door issue. You're not alone :cool:

Sorry to hear your troubles. I'd ask for a new key if they jacked yours up! Demand if needed.

Update: Called RAM last Thursday and the rep said they would assign it to a case manager and call me back within one business day. No call on Friday. Call this morning just to check and they put in a note that I called and would let the case manager know. No call back as of yet.

RAM has a tremendous opportunity especially for the ones that were disenfranchised by Ford to create a good positive experience and so far it hasn't been so great.
 
Update, RAM finally called today and they only deferred to the dealer to call me so they can work through it. I tried to take some more pictures so ya'll would be able to see what I am seeing.
