New to 5thgenrams, I have a 2020 Ram 1500 Rebel with the 12 inch screen. my current software version is 20.04.19 which I know is not up to date. I need the 40.1 but need the software downloads between my current version up to 40.1, can you help with this. If I type my VIN in uconnects website it says there are no updates available and the STEALERship wants to charge over $350.

Dealership probably won't help you either as the "updates" are usually part of TSBs. So if you don't complain about the specific issue addressed by the software update, they will just say your truck is up to date, like the Uconnect website. The instructions and files you need are readily available for free.

I have searched google, uconnect and here and have not found any. Love the 2020 over my previous 2016 but this honestly makes me question if the purchase was worth it. I cant connect to a home wifi like uconnect said I should because thats not an option, only in truck wifi hotspot, and there is no way to manually check for updates within the radio so Im honestly at a loss here. Thanks for the the help

I'm about to replace my break pads on a 2020 ram 1500 big horn. For the first time. I bought it used from bob Rutherford and have put almost 27,000 miles on it, I YouTube it and seems straight forward, today I had to replace the original battery, I went with as similar battery from Internet stare. I was lest sitting twice needing a jump.

I was wondering if you are able to tell me where in the BCM with the AlphaOBD you were able to find the settings to have the heated seats come on with the remote start. I saw you had mentioned it in a prior chat shown below. thanks

do your seats and wheel turn on with remote start when it’s below 40 degrees out? If not you can enable that with the settings in AlpaOBD. I do know all the settings now.

I've had my 2025 Rebel for 500 miles now and have the same question about Gas Mileage. I only got 14.3 mpg with about 70% hwy miles. No lead foot, averaging 75mph. Any suggestion s or is there something mechanically wrong with my truck?

the best i got was this trip from st cloud to huntsville, 17 MPG using 89 octane. Even when I filled up with 30 miles left i was only able to put 28 gallons in. I just think with our suspension and aggressive tires, this might be the best we get. I have air suspension on mine, love it. it was a throw in when I purchased the truck and I am glad it was.. the ride is so smooth.

not sure what could cause that mileage. on my '19 laramie 4x4 ccsb with 5.7 and 3.92 rear end I only got that kind of mileage in city driving. mine had the 5.0 first gear so not good in stop and go but I always got around 20 on the highway. usually at 75 ish. only used regular fuel..87-89

I don't believe I have ever had a tank of fuel average close to 20 mpg, the best I recall was about 18 with mostly interstate driving at 65 mph.
My overall averages are between 15 and 18 mpg, with my 19 and the 5.7.

Hello RamCares I have a 2019 Big Horn 1500 with 56000 miles. 5.7 Hemi. I discovered multiple leaks in the rear glass took it to the dealership and was told there are several cracks in the frame. I asked about the TSB on it and was told by the service writer that my truck wasn't covered. How can this not be covered as its a known defect?

I’d go to another dealership WITH the TSB. My daughter got it covered. Be aware, there’s 2 TSBs that are similar.

Do you know which TSB this falls under? Having the same issue. Ram wants to charge me $1500 to replace the rear window.

Hello RamCares I have a 2019 Laramie 1500 with 82000 miles. 5.7 Hemi. I discovered a leak in the rear glass took it to the dealership and was told there are several cracks in the frame. We all need to stick together on this, this is a safety issue, mold and mildew! Some of you only found problem because of smell,
I for one found it early on because of water leaked down into my RF module behind rear passenger seat, after removing my rear seats and opening up cover to RF module I became the ground and burnt my fingers!!

Can you make the wiring harness i would need for this swap ?

2022 1500 Limited 40k miles, wont shift into 4x4, lights on dash work, but wont move off 2wd and truck does not engage in 4x4... Get the error message attached.. Is this a software issue?

I'm confused, The link seems to be the same as if I search online. Let's try a direct e-mail. Looking at buying 2023 cherokee altitude LUX with about 12200 miles. Put in service May 2023. What is the maxcare pricing for 8 year 85K $200 deductable? Is this transferable?
