Anyone else experiencing this...you turn the knob into Drive and.....nothing happens. I only have 200 miles on my truck and I’ve had this issue 4 times.

Thanks for the info. You would think since it’s a known issue Ram would do some QA before they deliver their products to consumers.

Hi Swigg11,
We understand why this may be concerning. We suggest having your dealer inspect this concern if you have not done so already. We are also available via private message if you would like any additional assistance during that process.

Update. I brought it to the dealership to have service take a look. After 2 hours of them diagnosing they informed me they believe they’v fixed the issue. ( a code error) ....
So excited to go home, I go out to my truck, start it up, put it in drive and.......nothing happens!!! Luckily, I was in the service departments parking lot so I called them and had the advisor come out and see for himself. Asked me to step on the accelerator a little, which just revs the rpms, then suddenly the gears caught and jolted the truck forward. He was shocked and said “let’s go get you a loaner, this won’t be an easy fix.”

So here I am, after I custom ordered my Ram, driving around a loaner vehicle without any clue as to how long it will take to fix.

Very disappointed, I haven’t even received my first bill and it’s out of service in the shop.

Sorry, that stinks when you can't even get to enjoy the new car smell before the first payment. I understand. Owned a new 14 Silverado and after getting it home had a check engine light. Purchased about two hours away but took the truck to the local dealer. The fixed the CE light, but decided to do a software update on the truck and bricked the entire Mylink system. Brand new truck sat at the dealership for almost a week while the three stooges tried to figure it out. Meanwhile, I was driving an old Chevy Lumina with 160K miles on it as a loaner.... not a happy camper. But the good news was they finally fixed it and I never had any issue afterward. Hope they get yours straightened out in short order. Good luck.

Get in touch with @RamCares on this site and have them get you in touch with an FCA rep. Trust me it's worth it. It seems pointless but if you're kind and courteous they can be very helpful. They will help work with the dealer and keep you informed. I worked with an FCA representative and it was light years better than going at it alone. Just a heads up. Also let your dealer know if you have any other issues and make sure it's all documented.
