Where more money should've went

A tried true and tested V8 engine, proven, that runs on regular gas, regular oil, has a low cost of maintenance, has 4 cylinder deactivation as part of its engineered design (not a mickey mouse add-on to a previously existing engine), dyno's higher than FCA's stated HP/Torque ratings, that uses SAE tow ratings with fluids, tail-gate, and all production components installed (do your research, some strip out their trucks prior to testing, and not all use SAE), and only has one recurring issue in head gaskets.

I think it's a no brainer we have the best V8.

I think you meant to say exhaust manifold gaskets and studs. ;) As far as I know there aren't any headgasket issues with Hemis.

I agree on the Hemi V-8!

Not to thread hijack, but can you explain "Dealer allocation" to us on the forum and how it "MIGHT" effect a customer order? Just curious. Thanks!

Dealer allocation won't really exist for a DT Ram, however I'll explain.

Based on your volume performance, FCA allocates a certain quantity of specific configurations a dealer may order. It is very much a reward for performance. More you sell, more you get. Once initial allocation goes out, a dealer may place as many orders as they like. A bad dealer will not put in all of their orders, forget, etc - and then their allocation will be provided to the next dealer who has orders placed beyond their allocation. Allocation is also capped at the maximum allowed allocation for a region. IE - I am part of the Western Business Center for Canada. If you're trying to get a rare vehicle, a low volume dealer will be unlikely to help.

During the initial Hellcat surge in 2015, dealerships were getting a bad rep for taking deposits for clients without allocation, then praying they get it. This also added to the ridiculous dealer mark-up, as the dealer could literally auction off the vehicle to those who will pay the most for their allocation.

The Dodge Challenger Demon created a new surge of this exact process, and it will continue each time FCA says a vehicle or configuration is a "limited" build-out.
