Did one of those glass pad chargers with a short rt angle plug to the outlet underneath for max charging. It’s pretty clean. Can’t see the mess when the top is closed. And I used plastic hook and loop they sell for hanging stuff on the wall to stick it.
I really like this set up clean and you wouldn’t notice it I keep my top closed 99% of the time I’m going to have to steal this idea great post and thanks for the info.

Maybe something like this would work

SAMSUNG 15W Wireless Charger Single, Cordless Super Fast Charging Pad for Galaxy Phones and Devices, USB C Cable Included, 2022, US Version, Black https://a.co/d/dbMlHA2

If I was going Samsung, I'd look at this dual charger that's currently $1 more than the single. I got one free when I ordered my Watch5 Pro but it doesn't work with the watch with a magnetic clasp band. Duh. Wife uses it in the kitchen for her watch and I occasionally place my phone it it if convenient.

Let me tell you the OEM one sucks

All of the OEM ones do.
At most they are 5W, sometimes even 2.5W.

I would say the average wall charger people use is a MINIMUM 15w, and most are 30w.

Just remember the faster the charge, the hotter the battery, the more damage the battery takes. This also gets worse if the phone is getting hit by the sun while on the charger.

Like it just ordered this one below plus this cable see how well it works should get it Thursday. 9” Cable with Right Turn USB-C 3.0 to a Left Turn USB-A 2.0 hopefully it says it’s a 1.5-2 A current so we shall see. Lol like I said you inspired me.

USB 2 is the speed, not the energy transfer rate.
The cable will 100% work with the charger you bought.

No I know it’ll work with the charger just was saying about how well it will actually work with charging speeds and durability of the cable (saw mixed reviews).

It works as good as most wireless charging pads. I use it to top off or maintain my current charge, so it works well for me. It you expect to charge as quickly as a USB-C cord, you'll be disappointed.

The Ram wireless charging pad is 15w.

My issue is less about the speed and more about the fact it seems to connect and disconnect at random and getting the placement right for the light to turn blue is kluge. I don't have to touch the phone and it will go from blue to red. I don't get it, maybe I have a bad one.

I don't have those issues, so you might have a bad one.

Will this one fit in that spot in the console?

I was looking at this one but I never measured it but thought it would be awesome to have the wireless charge two phones at once. It is 7.8” W x 3.1” H.

ordered the exact same set items. We shall see how this goes lol
one thing I noticed while going on long trips is that battery drains fast when running maps on carplay. And plugging it into the headunit USB ports somehow mess with carplay as well. Say for example if I unplug it to take pictures or something then carplay would not work.
For the longest time I use a powerbank instead but let's see how this goes!

I’m going to use the USB-A to plug into the “wall socket” that comes with the wireless charger under instead of plugging it into the USB outlet. Will definitely give an update if any issues like you mentioned or not staying charged because I use maps and listen to Spotify most of the time so we will see fingers crossed it works well keep me posted on yours as well.
