Well, I guess you have aftermarket exhaust tips. I don't believe you can weld a painted part without the paint burning off but I'm not a welder...so maybe I'm wrong.

I don’t know 100% what it is, yet. I’m going to look after work. My 21 is definitely different than the 22.

Nope. That weld is definitely done after plating. There's heat tinting on the plating. I wasn't sure they if they were black chrome or painted until I adjusted the exhaust tips closer to the bumper and saw those welds. If they were painted, they probably would have done it after it was welded.

Yeah, I'm aware of that because I adjusted the tips from that point. I was just pointing out the weld to show what kind of finish was on the exhaust tips.
