I have the v6 (yeah i know kinda sucks) but, I just put new wheels (275/65/R20) and a leveling kit (3inch on the front and 2 inch on the back). Now im looking to see what else I should add. Planning to change the taillights, add subs and speakers and new side steps or running boards. Im thinking of adding a bigger fuel tank. Already have a spray bedliner, side steps, blacked out front grille. Is there is anything else that I should do to help me out? Getting other opinions from people that have had the truck longer and who may have found better alternatives or recommended brands.

What size fuel tank does it have now? Do you make a lot of long trips, or tow?

As for mods you can do, it's all personal preference. Do what you think is good for you. No matter what, you will have some people that like it, some people that absolutely hate it, and a whole bunch of people that don't really care what you do to your own truck.

Don’t know what your truck looks like, but you might consider some new side steps or running boards to complement your lift

v6 has low resale/trade value. don't expect any mods to increase it's value to anyone but you. as long as your okay with that do anything you want.

Thank you, I do make long trips but not a whole lot. I drive a total of 60miles to work M-F which beforehand wasnt bad but after the level and wheels and tires gas mileage went down hill😅.

here is a thread on upgrading the fuel tank
Thank you, will need this information later when I get a new fuel tank

My work commute, most days, is about 50 miles each way. Lift and even off-road front bumper didn't hurt fuel mileage too much . Biggest hit was the 35x12.5 tires

Damn. i figured it was my tires also, going from 31 to 34. Probly gonna be looking into the 33 gallon fuel tank.

Always fun to spend someone else's money. Side steps sound like a good idea, especially with a lift.

As to fuel economy, what tire size do you have now (I see two sizes listed in your earlier posts). And what did you have before? Are you going by dashboard mileage or hand-calculated? Did you adjust the speedometer calibration for taller tires? And if you made the change recently, winter blend gas reduces mpg; winter blend also costs less so the difference is a wash as far as cost per mile, but it will drop the number.

Im going off the dashboard for my mileage. For the tires I have 275/65/20 (34in). With 20in wheels 0 offset. I haven't adjusted the speedometer yet still have to order that part.

While true, the V6 also cost less to buy in the first place. As far as mods and resale, those are basically worth little to nothing no matter what engine is under the hood.

Your main point as to an owner doing what they want is therefore spot on and correct.

never really thought about it but i can see why mod's can actually decrease value. stock well you just replace the bad stock part. aftermarket "upgrade" complicates repair's as far as part availability. that never stopped me from moddin lol. to a select few private buyers they don't hurt.
i had a honda that was lowered with coil overs when i got it, one was blown out i could not get 1 and i didn't want to buy 4 so i just put it back stock. cheaper and easter to maintain.
