Anybody know what that ticking + high-pitched squeaking sound is? I'm hearing it in my engine and it's kind of driving me crazy.

I have that chirp. Mine is only noticeable under load in 4 & 5 geer at 3k rpm. Was told by dealership today that it’s because I run 87 octane and I should be running 89 octane. I think it’s a pulley or tightened but no they say it’s the fuel. I’ll run better octane now and see if that changes it. I’d it doesn’t it’ll go back. Truck has 10k miles on it. Fantastic!!!!!!

Hi @the wanderer & @19ramlveryeha,
If you move forward with addressing this with your dealers, please be sure to let us know via private message. We would like to escalate your situations to a Case Manager which will provide the dealership and yourself with an individual who will review your concern, then assist you and the dealership in exhausting all available resources to have the concern addressed and resolved.

Hey guys, I am brand new to this forum. I just picked up my 2020 Laramie last week. I noticed it makes a squeaking noise when idling like a belt or something. Sales guy told me it just needs to driven to get everything going and loosened up. It had 5 miles on it when I left the lot. I have 150 miles on it now and the noise is still there. Any thoughts or concerns? Thanks

Did you find out what that ticking noise is? I have a 2020 Lamarmie with 2500 miles & started ticking when it idles. Someone said that the dealer said to use 89 octane, I use 93. Going to take in but was wondering if you figured it out
