I would have to water them waaaay down to post them on here. It's probably best if they just live in the shop.Care to share some of your latest creations?
As requested and delivered, here is a quick link to the latest river table I built. This is 100”x48”x1.75” with a diagonal layout.Oh man. So envious of your abilities! I love watching woodworking videos. Especially the epoxy river tables.
Congratulations!!Posted on this tread earlier in the year, but today I worked my last shift, after 34 years as a machinist/millwright in the deepest base metal mine in the world, my wife also worked her last shift today, she has been for the school board as an office manager for 30 years, finally retired! We both enjoyed our employment but we are excited to start a new chapter in life and will start travelling America this spring.
Thank you, I didn’t hear my 4:35 am alarm this morning, it feels like Saturday today!Congratulations!!
Congratulations for living the dream of living in a world of endless Saturdays! I have a long way to go, but every day I think about living out my best years. Best of luck to you and the wife, what a great holiday gift.Posted on this tread earlier in the year, but today I worked my last shift, after 34 years as a machinist/millwright in the deepest base metal mine in the world, my wife also worked her last shift today, she has been for the school board as an office manager for 30 years, finally retired! Congratulations! I hope my wife and I will make it there someday. Enjoy your retirement and each other.Posted on this tread earlier in the year, but today I worked my last shift, after 34 years as a machinist/millwright in the deepest base metal mine in the world, my wife also worked her last shift today, she has been for the school board as an office manager for 30 years, finally retired! I started out as an Electricain and then earned a second journeyman's ticket in Instrumentation so I'm a dual ticket tradesman. After 30 years of chasing automation in Mining, Oil and Gas, Aerospace Robotics and Wood Manufacturing, I was finally recruited to a corporate position on a Capital Projects Team where we focus on large scale improvements to our existing facilities. My title is Process Controls Superintendent where I travel between all our sites solving the high level issues but I've been on loan to the Projects Team as a Project Superintendent for the last 4 years. My current assignment is to lead all the electrical improvements during a $112M upgrade to one of our Sawmills in Eatonton Georgia. It's an exciting and challenging role and a much welcomed change after chasing whistles as a professional troubleshooter for the bulk of my career.I'm an Instrumentation and Controls Technician. We're basically glorified industrial electricians who focus on calibration of instruments and programming of industrial logic. I've been fortunate enough to work in and around various industries such as Oil/Gas, Powergen, Wastewater, Automotive, Aviation and currently Food/Bev. I really love my job and encourage people to look into it or other trades as we're staring down a real shortage of tradesmen in the upcoming years.
I'd love to hear what you guys do!
I have a friend that's retired and he tells me that he now has 6 Saturdays and 1 Sunday every week.Thank you, I didn’t hear my 4:35 am alarm this morning, it feels like Saturday today!
