What did you do to your Ram today???

Went ahead and did the front and rear dif fluid today. Both looked very good, as expected for a 30k change. I have a little brush scraper tool I use to adgitate the crap in the bottom of the rear dif and I flushed a quart through it to get nice new clean fluid. Still, not bad at all for 30k.

Still waiting on the fluid for the transfer case.

So do I!

All of these types of flaps are garbage. They rub the paint off and they collect crap. The plastic material eventually deterioriates as well and they are not pliable, so if you rub on something, there goes your flap. Do yourself a favor and buy some good rubber mudflaps, like Gatorback, if you plan on keeping the truck. Not cheap, but when it comes to this product, it's a buy once cry once deal.
Not everyone likes flat mudflaps that look like they belong on an 80s square body.

It took some work and a pressure washer...
I have to run a wheel spacer for the spare location because the bore is bigger than the hanger. when i came back from Alaska and Arctic it was so caked I couldn't even get to the spacer nuts lol

i had to do it like an archaeologist and find a fine brush to slowly brush the mud away :ROFLMAO:

Gatorbacks are not what you are thinking of at all. You are thinking of some NAPA style universal rubber that is 18" wide for a dually or 18 wheeler type. Maybe look at the link and some pics of the ones I sent. Either way, they asked a question and criticized the plastic ones, so I gave them an option. Nobody really cares what you like or dont like. So stop trolling.

I bought some fluid film for the first time that someone recommended the other day.
I'm guessing its similar to something I used from the Wurth man back in the day when I was a bit more functional. 🤪
Unfortunately I'll be waiting for the new ones now

I did look at the link, hence my comment

Nobody 👏 cares 👏

Being negative just for the sake of being it because you don't like me is getting old dude.

Do you know in the short time I've been here I've had two random members send me PM's as warnings about engaging with you? It's not a good thing dude. I've heard the messages, I see through your BS, and the whole "high school bully" thing needs to end. Your badge of "locally hated" isn't an accomplishment or the win you think it is. Grow up. Stop trying to poke the bear all the time.

Let's play is it me or is it RAM?
I noticed last night one particular spot of water still dripping while everything was still dry.
I reached under felt wet and muddy and was able to retrieve some.
I decided to remove mud flap and I was glad I did.
Was it installed correctly? Sure seems like it needs holes for better draining
just drill few new drain holes and you'll be fine, or fill the entire area with spray foam, then cut off overflow

So it's okay for you to be negative about the molded mud guards most people prefer, but God forbid someone do that same about something you recommend, and somehow makes them a "high school bulky"? Total hypocrisy. Don't want to hear other people's opinions, then don't post on public forums.

Context matters. "Negative" towards a product when the person posting about it's flaws and repeating what most people say about them rubbing paint off and their other downsides is not just interjecting an opinion about how I feel about them nor is it in relation to their looks. So I offered an alternative, a solution, as did someone else. My opinion was they are garbage for those reasons. What exactly are the upsides to them outside of looks since you are hellbent on focusing on that instead of finding helpful solutions, especially in comparison to ones that don't have their downsides?

Take your own advice. Everyone has an opinion. The difference is some can be helpful and some are just trollish. Yours is the latter. Maybe I should not have called them garbage, but if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck... and this is not the first time this subject has came across about these style mudguards on multiple forums I've been a part of across multiple vehicles. They are cheap for a reason and they are not designed well either.

Seriously dude, grow up. I'm not ignoring your stupid antics anymore. It's time for you to learn how to conduct yourself on public forums. Call it whatever you want, but "hypocrisy" is far from it. You are annoyingly loud and trollish. Stop. Stop being the one to poke the bear then cry about it when the bear gets in your face. At some point you have to wonder why this keep happening to you online because I know I'm not the only one to have a run in with you over something so petty. I see through it man.

Just use the ignore button on him. Works great!

No crying hear, you're the one getting worked up over it. I have had the Husky brand on my truck for almost 5 years now. Guess what is still on the truck? Yeah, all the paint. And I didn't even use the clear vinyl strips they come with.

Calling a product "garbage" because you personally don't like them, especially when you have no personal experience with said product, isn't any different then what I did. It was your personal opinion. You can try and spin it any which way you want but in the end, it's still your opinion that they are garbage. Especially if you, yourself, have not used them and experienced the issues you speak of. Which, you said, your comments were based off of second hand information from others Which just makes it hearsay on your part, and makes you a hypocrite for trying to call me out for posting an opinion.

The fact you think this is some personal vendette against you just makes it all the more amusing, that you are continuing to engage, while calling me out for being the one who this keeps happening with. Im not going to back down to others who think their opinion is someone more important. I defend what I say.

I didn’t like how the rubber mud flaps stuck out past the well. And, I certainly didn’t want a tacky name branded in chrome on it.
I found the Husky mud guards very well form fitted. Their design doesn’t collect mud at the bottom like what I saw with the Ram ones.
If you install the Husky’s properly using some clear PPF on the painted surface, it’s not an issue for the paint. I’ve had mine for 5 years and have never “rubbed” anything.
Just my opinion and choice.

Good points. You don't have to get the display section on the Gatorbacks either, and that was just a reference. Your fender flares are color coded like mine too so good choice not overlapping them with something that will rub as much. The reference to "rubbing" though that I was referring to was more for off roading. I should have clarified the pliable reference. I had a set of hard plastic ones get ripped off a Subaru I had and I wasn't even doing much. TBF, the road was a bit of an unserviced disaster but ever since then I've avoided those products... and the roads like that lol.

I didn't get offended at all. I merely expressed an opinion about the product you posted, countering with why I didn't like them, and why many others probably wouldn't either. Seems you took more offense to that than I did.

The funny part is, you feel it's perfectly fine to trash talk a product, but don't like it when others do the same towards something you use. And then try to tell me I'm the problem. Enjoy your mud flaps, I'll enjoy my mud guards.

As for positives, aside from looks, they protect the rockers and sides of the truck. The same as what you posted. I haven't personally experienced any of the issues you commented about. 5 years on the truck, it has seen deep mud, deep snow, multiple off roading trips. Just went on one yesterday in fact. See my posts with pictures and videos

Thank you for the suggestion and I'll check them out. I really don't those chrome or white lettered mud flaps.
I'll probably modify the current ones until I install bumpers, upfitter switches, TRX wheels and the Falcon shock leveling system.
I probably have more stuff to do, but if I get the main ones done I'll start buying more. 🤪 🤪
