What did you do to your Ram today???

$28 for the 0W-20 and $20 for the 5W-20 is what I'm seeing. But I think the last time I got it (0W-20) was on sale and I got the 3 pack. I had to get the regular Platinum recently though as they wanted too much for the PUP when I was shopping. TBH, $28 still isn't bad. I still have enough for 3 oil changes though so I'll hold out. I wouldn't mind using 5W-20 either... even during winter I'm sure it'll be just fine. And if for some reason temps were below -20 I'd just hook up the block heater anyways to help it a little.

I really want to see that Valvoline restore and protect go on sale. I used that for one change so far and it was noticeably more quiet. All reports on that oil seem pretty stellar and I'm a long time PUP fan.

What sucks is I've been sitting on some 5W-30 for a couple years now and I can't even give the stuff away. Previous vehicle, asked neighbors, coworkers... no joy. Pretty surprising how many people don't even change their own oil that have the ability and space to do so.
maybe next time i go to MT to redo Glacier and Yellowstone Natl Park i can get them off your hands hahahahaha
and add Beartooth since I missed it last time due to road closure.
 
X that brake fluid procedure doesn't get all the old fluid out. I'd bet money that even after all that, the fluid in the calipers is still dirty old fluid. And that's the most important part to get fresh fluid to


Once the fluid is out of the master say a good inch it is never going back into the reservoir unless you force the pistons to full reset. It will not circulate back into the reservoir it straight deadheads into line/caliper and stays there. I know he would see dirty fluid if he actually flushed the system how its supposed to be done, but he is 59 after all and its worked so far lol...

Hell today I flushed the front brakes of a GSX750R today because the lever felt spongy. I got one big air bubble and a bunch of contaminated fluid. It now feel how it should.

basically all maintenance, they suggested i did and told the advisor or tech (desk guy). he looked back at me suspiciously but whatever :sneaky::rolleyes:

very soon will be breaks and refresh on brake fluid.

i changed my plugs at 90k still had oem ones and seemed to be fine i just did it as "preventative maintenance."

That would work, just be careful with how much air pressure you send through it into the brake system.
I have the motive version with a hand pump and master cylinder adapters for Dodge and GM, works fine. Ive bled the brakes on my car a couple times and flushed my old truck once, no problems. You will use about 2-3 quarts of brake fluid though

 
Glad I got my oil when I did!! Definitely went back up. I grabbed 2 - 3 packs of 5Qt. That will get me thru the year.
Ya, seen price doubled overnight. I bought (2) 3 5QT cases yesterday for $128. Today is $120 for 3. Been having issues with my 8.4 radio, odd static, tried everything, new speakers, anc delete, added a kicker key amp, updated through USB radio, removed fuse etc, today got package from lkq, a 8.4 radio from 2021 DT, with 19k miles for $195. Going out to install it once I get a unlock code.
