What did you do to your Ram today???

You also have to mention the diminishing value method for depreciation. Insurance companies hate hearing those words. And if you have something like USAA, they still try to low ball the offer even with the added 15% or 25% whatever it is option. Also the downside to the vehicle market at the moment. You may get an offer for a 10 year old truck that is only $10k less than you paid for it, but you are going to pay a $30k difference on a new one because of their "inflation". Either way, if you feel low balled, seek litigation. 99% chance the insurance company won't even bother when they are hit with an actual cease and desist. They'll cut you a decent check before it goes any further. Unless of course, the fault was split or something, then IMHO, still work getting a lawyer involved.

But glad you are okay and that's truly all that matters. As much as I'd love to say stick it to the insurance companies any chance you get, for us moral folks, life matters more than money.

Most insurance companies offer agreed upon value policies.
Yup just have to do the work to get it added on. Or go full custom with one like hagerity. I think ,only because I have not needed to do it, progressive will do it but may need it looked at or some sort of thing. I know when it's time to really get into my S10 and build it the way I want it I will have to get insurance that matches the final result.

That's just the pain talking.

It's like that woman who vowed celibacy after child number 1 and then ends up buying a Chrysler Pacifica a few years later.

You'll be back....as you should. Don't let misfortune limit your zest for life.

I’m sort of back. I’ve done some modifications, but I’ll never build to that level again. Plus, making massive power on a diesel is relatively cheap, compared to a gas vehicle. Man that truck was fun to drive. 8K lbs, fast, and insane torque for days. My current build is coming along, but it will not include any power modifications, just cosmetic.

It can be more of a struggle with Hagerty unless it's a classic car. That's primarily what they focus on.

I just installed Lasfit bulbs in the cargo bed lights, good little upgrade. Going to try the fog lights next.

I also bought the bulbs for the reverse lights but, because I'm a numnutz, I didn't realize you couldn't change out the current LEDs back there. My 2023 Big Horn has the LED rears already so they're not getting any brighter (the OEMs suck).

Anyone have use for these? I'll send them along for anyone willing to just cover shipping.

Dropped the truck off for it's transmission service. Fingers crossed.

Won't know anything until EOD Monday. Send prayers, do a little dance, light candles, sacrifice a FORD... I'm gonna need it.
prayers out brother

I produced receipts for all of it ($30k +). Got nothing. There was a lot that could not be removed. Trans with tons of billet upgrades, injectors, turbo, intake and exhaust manifolds, exhaust, custom silicone hose kits, lift pump fuel system, wheels, entire interior covered in Dyna-Mat, full custom audio system (I did yank my sub box that had my amps in it), and on, and on. I keep receipts for everything when it comes to my vehicles. Each vehicle has its own folder in my file cabinet.
I do the same. I use my receipts at tax time!

Installed the infotainment stop/start disable device. Haven’t driven it yet but looking forward to not hitting the button every day.

Why? I feel like the truck is slower to accelerate from a stop with the stop/start on and engaged. May be entirely placebo but it accelerates better just running at a light. My commute is mostly highway so having it engaged really doesn’t save me much of any.

im so used to having that slight delay when stop/ start on and engaged and starting from a red light or stop sign that even when i turn it off i still expect a slight delay before the truck moves LOL
or maybe my truck's too heavy
