What’s the light output like on the road ?

probably not far and plenty of reflection off the hood. should aim it more sideways.
alternatively, swap over to a spot pattern if looking to aim them forward.

Getting close to the end of the lighting upgrades. I installed an LED third brake light and a set of hybrid LED headlights. The headlights have a cool "starting animation" when the truck starts and the turn signals are animated as well. As I said they are hybrid so the surround/signals and parking lights are LED but the low/hi beams are halogen. I kind of like that look but I am going to have to evaluate it for a while and may end up tossing some LEDs in for the beams too making it all LED and of course would have to swap out the fogs for LED as well. We'll see.

Those came out great! I would agree that the next move be LED bulbs to replace the halogens.

Thanks! The one I got was only about $40 shipped on Ebay. Seems to be well made but the real test will be if it keeps the water out. I will be watching it closely for a while.

Yes, it has a thick foam gasket that has an adhesive backing. It's a different design than factory but very thick so when it's compressed it seems to have left no gaps. The question will be if that gasket stops the water.

The pics are terrible, I know. A photographer, I am not I hope this helps though.

But, I can say that the bed is filled with light. I have the two OEM bed LEDs helping so its tough to see whats lighting what. It appears to be putting out plenty of light to illuminate the entire bed. Tomorrow night I can do a test where I cover the two bedside lights and see whats left with the high mount light.

I don't believe so, mine came in 5 days! Maybe for custom stitching or something fancy
