Use a Lubelocker gasket when you do pull the cover, real life saver, no mess. No need for rtv on the diff cover bolts either

Great product. I use those on my Jeep.

No link as I bought them locally at a automotive accessory shop my daughter in law manages but any truck shop should have them.

I just did a general Google search for the brand and model number.

Prices started just below $400 and went up based on seller.
