OK, I could not wait. View attachment 154274 View attachment 154275 249.7, minus 232.9 equals16.8"
I don't know what you use to measure in Cali, but in the Midwest that is very close to a Foot and a half!!! Not 2.3"...
(Mic Drop).

I'm 6' tall.
I got bad info from Google. Imagine that!
So a crew cab 6.4 bed is 241.8" so only a 6" difference to the 2002.
I'll just crawl back in the corner now.

You guys are beating this to death.
2003 Ram sales flyer says quad cab long bed is 249.9
2022 Ram sales flyer says crew cab 6’ 4” bed is 241.8

249.9” minus 241.8” equals 8.1”. 8.1” is less than a foot (12”).

Can we move on now?

Who did some stuff to their Ram today?

To some people arguing is a way of life. I try not to even say good morning to them.

Is it just me, or is this a silly argument? Can't we just enjoy these vehicles we own without a some sort of debate or argument? I personally enjoy my 3.6L e-torque Ram. Is it fast? Nope. Does it tow the most? Nope. Does it have all the bells and whistles? Nope. Does it do what I NEED a truck to do and look good doing it? YUP! To be honest, that's all that matters. Back to our regularly scheduled program. 👍

I guess we were both wrong. I just looked up the 2002 again and yeah it says 249.7”; and the cclb 5th gen is 241.8” so yeah 8” difference. I got it wrong because I googled 2002 dodge Ram 2500 (instead of 1500) quad cab long bed and I never realized until right now that in 2002 the HD 2500/3500 trucks stayed with the old (smaller) body style while the 1500s changed over to the new style! I thought it was strange when you said your truck was a 2002 but it looked like a 3rd Gen haha I didn’t know the 1500s switched to 3rd gen a year earlier than the rest.

I stuffed towels in the headliner and under the rear seat. Fun stuff.

This guy doesn't know how to measure and apparently doesn't know how to fix a seat if his knees are hitting the dash in his 5th gen 😂 I'm 6'2 and have room for days in mine. Even with the crumb snatchers behind me.

Not really snatchers, more like depositors

In my case, my 8 year old grandson is a 'dirt depositor' to my back seats and floor.

I humbly apologize. These things are beasts. All cab though. I finally took the time to line them up. fisrt Pic is with rear windows aligned 20230311_084446.jpg Then I lined up rear bumpers. The difference is mere inches.
I promise to never bring up the 8' bed argument again. 20230311_085309.jpg 20230311_085336.jpg

Not what I did specifically - just backed into the driveway and the Uconnect said an update is available. I let it do its thing and about 7 mins later it was updated to v26.17. I went through the settings and didn't notice anything reset to defaults which is good. The what's new showed Apple and Android car/auto updates, maps, and software update. Seems to work the same. I'll see if the random screen position upon start up is fixed - it's supposed to stay on the last used screen, which is the Home screen for me, but often it would show the Apps screen when I start the truck.
