What did you do to your Ram today???

I did the same thing loading my dad's riding mower in my bed. Thankfully they are cheap and easy to replace, about $40 for both sides. Let me know if you need he part numbers.
Picked them up from my local dealer tonight along with a touch up paint. $62 all in I think. Now just need to spend the 5 minutes straightening, and pop them in. I guess I now consider those pieces a wear item, something tells me this won't be the last I time I do this!

Today I got to my destination after a 14 hour drive. I noticed a few things during those hours, it was the first time my 5th gen made that trip (comparing a 14 to a 19).

Weatherstripping is brand new (one side was done under warranty a while back) and when it’s windy out it doesn’t matter, the seals make noise. If you tuck the tips of your fingers between the door and frame you can feel a whole lot of flex, more than I would have expected. I’m sure some of that is designed to be there.

Anyway, on a more positive note I finally got over 12 mpg, when I saw the range I actually laughed out loud.

I cleaned my wheels and tires today. My KMC Dirty Harry wheels are a pain to clean, and keep clean. I don't think I would got them if I would have known that beforehand. Textured matte black sounded like a great color before I got them. 🤷‍♂️

They didn’t name them Dirty Harry for no reason! 🤣

Participated in an unintentional patriotic ram convoy this morning headed to work. The blue one out front was a 4th gen, but I'm still gonna count it.

You need to pass the red Ram, to make it red, white, and blue (although, this would make for a less interesting photo).

Made her an appointment with the dealer to fix my first recall (Customer satisfaction campaign really) but it's a software update to the Hybrid Control Processor, so eTorque brethren, be on the lookout for the Z49 recall:

blurb:

"The HCP on your vehicle requires a software update. The engine may fail to start at the end of a stop start event. Engine can be restarted immediately but a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) will be set, and the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) will be illuminated"

I'll be following to see if your update goes smoothly. How far out did they schedule you?

Cleaned bird-**** off my hood after a fresh wash yesterday. :cautious: Baking soda + hot-water + spray bottle = gentle microfiber dab clean.

Picked up hellwig and front struts to go with my ready lift 3.5 kit today. Just need to get the hail damaged fixed. Then mod time.

Does this work for bugs too?
The wetter the better. Can turn into swirl marks real quick if you're not careful. The baking soda helps break down the yuck so let it soak and bubble. Repeat as necessary depending on how baked in we're talking about. Club soda / seltzer water works too.

As usual, cool to the touch paint is always better.

Wanted black caps or lugs for Backcountry wheels. Decided to give ColorLugs 21-23mm 25 pack a try since they’re 1/6 the price vs. the McGard black lugs. They actually look okay. Eyeballing them up close they look like what they are, vinyl covers. I’m going to live with them for a while…

So today I go to the store and I hear rattling underneath my dash, I feel underneath and this thing flops out. I’m assuming GPS tracker from dealer/factory?

This tied into the LoJack as well?
