Mike, I see you went the way of the Ram! I did to a year ago, don't think I'm going back to Chevy!!!

So far Me ether.

The hemi tick and extra loud DI injectors are taking a bit to get used to over the GM DI engines. And I miss the bumper step. Other than that. I love it.

Just have a few more parts to sell before I have the money for a tuner

Yea I have been looking at aftermarket bumpers with steps. I removed these Rough Country steps (in photo) and put some Amp Research power steps on. Amp Research also makes a rear bumper step that folds away when you aren't using it, but it's just about half the cost of some aftermarket bumpers. I want to get rid of the chrome on the front and rear so the bumpers will probably be next. Just got a set of black 20' takeoffs so i'll have to wait a bit.

Technically not my first cosmetic mod, but definitely the first one I've done myself. Just finished some vinyl stripes on the front and rear. It was the first time I've done something like this so it took way more time and frustration than I expected. I always loved this color combination since I seen a Dodge Viper ACR in billet silver with the red & black racing stripes. The Rosso Corsa (Ferrari) red vinyl doesn't match the powder coated glossy red tow hooks, but I love the satin color of the vinyl anyway. I'm still debating on applying it to the roof of the truck to finish it off, but I haven't made up my mind yet.

Looks awesome. I vote go for the roof, finish off the look. We'll done, this is my favorite color combo I've seen in a long time

Got my cracked exhaust manifold cover replaced (under warranty) and did the full 4x4 and brake fluid replacement. Next week it goes in for a 5" RC lift and AFE shorty headers. I'll be selling the manifold cover if anyone on here needs one a (relatively) new one.

Hit 5,000 miles on the clock, so I changed the oil and rotated tires today. Filter location is an interesting design, for sure. I had oil everywhere but the drain pan ha.

Use a gallon freezer bag. A few YouTube vids about it.

I'm researching this and trying to confirm since I have iOS and dont want to go the AlfaOBD route because of having to buy an Android device, etc. Does JScan have the 2021 Ram 1500 DT on its app?

Yea I'm trying to avoid getting an android tablet myself. I've looking for a used surface windows tablet to use alfaobd on it. We'll see. Sucks we can't use iOS. I'm not tablet guy at all either lol.

Got my first oil change at the service dept yesterday. Only paid $33 for tire rotation, was told my oil changes are free. Cool.
Got home, decided to install my Flow X muffler. Painted it a few coats of high temp paint in silver a couple of weeks ago. Been sitting on this project for a bit, mainly procrastinating over cutting up a perfectly good exhaust system.
Probably the longest part of the install was measuring the cut line, and getting a good angle underneath there to get the sawzall to cut straight. Once that blade started to cut, there was no turning back. The muffler hanger tool was a huge help.
After finishing the cut, I prepared the new muffler for install, and I find that I am supplied, from the manufacturer, 2 different bolts for the flange mount, one course thread, the other a fine. Nuts thread onto one bolt, but not onto the other. A hunt through my collection of extra fasteners came up with a proper fitting nut. Add in extra time to hunt for proper fitting nut, the install took about 3 hours.
The install also allowed me to push my tailpipes out further, and now they look way better in the bumper cutout. Big difference from the stock muffler, much deeper tone, no drone in cab and sounds just what I expected from a Flowmaster muffler. Below are some pics of muffler installed. On the picture of the flange, you can see the 2 different nuts used on the supplied bolts.
One more mod in the books! Just a few more to go and I’ll be done…maybe…🤦🏻‍♂️😉…!
Thank you to all the useful info provided on this site to tackle some of these mods. Y’all bad for my pocketbook, but I do appreciate all the experience and knowledge being shared! 🤙🏽👊🏽

Finally got a several day period where didn't need to drive the Rebel. So I leveled the truck with Bilstein 5100s (5th ring) along with Mopar lift kit UCAs. While I had the tires off, blacked out the OE wheels with the TVD decals and black lug nuts. Also installed Bora spacers, 1.25" rear, 1" front. Had already blackened the skidplate and coated the tow hooks red. Couple days freeway driving with the Bilsteins, no noticeable difference in ride quality.

A little weather porn, I’ll hit you northerners with this in February. Took her out to Hau Bush beach park in Ewa Beach about five miles down the road. You can see diamond head in the back. It is was nice out there. About 6 people surfing, and a few guys shore fishing. Also a few unfortunates that have to live out there, that’s has to be a hard life. Blessed. Later
