I hear ya...the reviews kinda $uck, but what the ****, they were $13. Let's see how long they hold up.

I get a kick out of people's reviews. I don't wish ill on anyone, and we've all had bad product experiences, but people who get all bent out of shape when a $13 part is not built like the space shuttle crack me up. I did check for all of the failures on these lights that people complained of and didn't see any of those. Since I wasn't sure exactly what my final solution for backups would be, I figured these should get me through the winter

I believe "new dash style" is for the 5th gens vs the dash on the 4th gens that are still in production/selling (e.g. the Warlocks). The kit comes with longer replacement screws and the base also has 3m double sided mounting tape. Very secure!
