What did you do to your Ram today???

Interesting it applied the brakes going forward while parking. It's not equipped to do that. I've tested it going forward and it hit the object and never stopped. I tested it using a 4x8 sheet of ridgid foam insulation so as to not damage the truck.

My truck also applies the brake when I’m close to something in the front. 2021 ram

The week I got my truck. We went to see fire works on July 4th. Was on a dirt road. Went to back up into the grass to park. And the truck scared the **** out of us. It slammed the brakes on us while we were backing up. Then another day. Backing up in a parking spot. Grass behind the spot. Tires were 1ft from the end of pavement rear. Rear Hanging over in grass area. And it slammed the brakes again. Needless to say the parking assist stays off now.

Its called an "AceBike TyreFix" I found out about them when I purchased a mototote when I drove from Norcal to Austin Texas for a track day weekend at COTA. 1800 miles each way and the bike was rock solid in the back, and I still got to use all my bed space!

Are those brake lights at the bottom of the bike carrier or are those reflectors?

HAHA yeah I was running into the same issue in mine. Then it wouldn't help that my dogs would love to run around my truck while I'm backing up causing my truck to constantly freak out and brake so I finally had to turn off that feature.
 
That looks great but make sure you have clearance. I had a very low profile license plate frame and noticed that the tailgate was very close to contacting it when the gate was down. I could barely slide a piece of paper between the gate edge and plate frame. That was too close for my comfort so I removed the plate frame and won't be adding anything around the plate again.
Yes, had to remove the plate frame and drill the holes slightly lower so that the light bar missed the tailgate. I used bolts and nuts on the back so not easily stolen.
 
Dang, am I the only one that actually enjoys hearing that backfire when you let off the throttle and it goes into 4-cyl mode? Scared me the first time after I put the Borla ATAK on but then realized it was the MDS. Anyone got a burble tune on theirs? 😆
Mine really bothered me when I first replaced the muffler. Now it doesn't. I'll take the pissed off volkswagen sound if it keeps getting me 22 mpg's. I kinda like the bark it makes when it drops in on the highway too.

Same happened to me. Backing up with some speed, truck applied the parking brake and my heart dropped like i hit something 🤣
 
After I ordered my truck I started looking at tires for the stock 22" wheels. I wanted a 33" tire but every pic I saw just looked wrong to me with a low profile, aggressive off-road tire. Then I started looking at 33" tires for 18 and 20" wheels. These two trucks have 33's. The top has 18's and the bottom has 20's. I like the look of the 20's better, so that's the direction I went. 20 is a good compromise...not too much sidewall like an 18, the wheel portion looks proportional to the overall truck, but you still have some flex for off-road and safety margin for curb scrapes.
 
Hellwig rear sway bar came in and got it installed! Man what a difference. I ended up leaving it in the middle setting for now since it's been raining everyday in FL and she likes to slide the rear end on the firmest setting during testing. But I honestly didn't notice a difference between the middle and firmest setting besides the rear end slide. Other than that, body roll is non existent, even with the lift. Can't wait to test her out on a dry on ramp!

Now I just have to finally setup my tazer dt...
I drove a Ford Explorer on vacation in Utah last week of July. I was very impressed with that truck's firm suspension. I hauled *** in the rural areas on the way to hiking trails, because overall I drove 1500 miles in just one week. I wasn't about to waste time. So in the curves, I really felt planted and I often thought, sheesh, I'd love my Ram to be this tight in the corners! Even with the Hellwig, I wouldn't say there's NO body roll. But there is much less. Find a few roundabouts if your town has any. Hellwig has been a big improvement. I want Ram to go further.

I concur. After riding around on 18 inch rims and 33's for the last year and half I've found the ride a little mushy/bouncy/jiggly. Also way more tire options for a 20 inch rim and less balancing problems

First time I've seen a sport bike on a hitch carrier. I need to see someone load a bike. First, I'm thinking okay, a 450+lb bike has to go up above hip height, and there's no place to put down a kickstand. So, it has to be held vertical and balanced while at the same time the straps are connected. AND, the straps are much closer to the bike, more vertical, than if the bike were in the bed. It seems so risky and difficult for 1 person to do. And yet, you've done it, and with a Ducati no less. So...I need to investigate. I've no problem putting my bike in the bed, but the possibility of taking my bike and being able to leave the tonneau cover on, or maybe putting camping gear and extras in the bed because the bike's not in there...seems like a great idea.

I installed the Timbren Suspension Enhancement System (DR1500DQ)

I drive on mountain roads in the North Georgia Mountains and have noticed less body roll in the curves and seems to have planted the rear end even more.

I also have the Hellwig sway bar installed. 🔱

The Timbrens SES has stabilized and planted the rear end of my truck. (y)

 
Yes….plastic inner pieces broke off of both about a year ago. They still “worked” but had no tension to hold in place. Month or 2 ago drivers side gave up and was dangling in my view. I was able to “lodge it into a useless position where it wouldn’t move, as long as I didn’t touch it! Replaced both under warranty no questions asked. Had to wait a week or two for parts as both were back ordered.

The same thing, I have wedged up in there and if I don't touch it, all is well. I am really missing it though, I have rather poor vision and the sun is not my friend....

They are functional. Its a led brake light kit that mototote sells, and hooks up to the trailer wiring harness so plug and play. I actually have an extra set they send me if you are local. If not they are pretty cheap on their website. Their carrier came with pre dilled holes for the mounts but its just 2 screws per side so im sure you can easily mount them to anything. https://www.mototote.com/mototote-led-light-kit.html

I did a ton of research on pretty much all hitch carriers out in the market a month before my trip. I ended up with the mototote cause they had the best quality. Price wasn't really a factor for me since what ever I was putting on it would be worth having the extra piece of mind. They had a ton of videos on YouTube how to load the bike which is easy with one person since the front wheel chock holds the bike up. Granted it never hurts to have an extra person(Kids or wife) to hold the bike up while you are strapping it down. A hitch carrier was a must for me since I did not want to put my track day items and gear exposed over night when I'm trying to get some sleep. Im starting to sound like a spoke person for mototote but I'm just that happy with the way that carrier performed during my 3200 mile round trip. Now I just leave it on there since you can fully open the gate with out hitting the front chock.
