What did you do to your Ram today???

Well, I got rid of the jeep because I know with all the aftermarket support for them they are money pits, only to be rivaled by a hole in the water that sucks in money.

None the less, I still can't help myself with a vehicle. Glad the aftermarket isn't as predominant with the Ram.

Got my truck back yesterday. Had PPF I stalled on the front clip, debadged the misc badges and Sport stickers, tinted the front windows and applied a polymer paint sealant. I would have liked a ceramic but this was a package deal and I figured it will keep for a while until I can pony up for ceramic (heck, I still have to make the first payment!).

Today, I replaced the grill and hood badges with black. The tailgate badge I replaced with an American flag one.

By the way, the hood badges just pop out and clip in. Same with the grill RAM. The tailgate has tape and clips but I just let the sun hit it and it peeled right off. Helps to catch it new.

Haven't done it yet but the delivery for my BDS 4" lift is set for Monday between 10 and 2 (so really no telling when the driver will show up....). I ordered my rims and tires at Discount Tire in anticipation of the lift getting installed.

I initially bought new tires (Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus) through this place (I have done business there for years), I had them mounted and balanced on my factory wheels. Then I decided a while later to get new wheels. I bought the wheels through CARiD / Wheel Pros. I took the wheels down to my tire shop (Monday, the 17th). They took the Pirelli's off the stock wheels and put them on the new wheels. A sticky weight fell off the front passenger wheel in my driveway, not 3-4 hours later. I went back to the shop the next day (18th), but, had to make an appointment to have that wheel rebalanced. I go back today (2 days later) and have them rebalance that wheel. I even took the wheel cap off at home, so they wouldn't have to worry about it. Just balance the freakin' wheel.

They rebalance the wheel, I walk out, I look down, I see the gouge...

I told the manager, who I know very well, by the way. He saw my wheel and asked what I wanted to do about it. He says, "We can put some touch up paint on there". I'm like, "Touch up paint isn't going to fix that gouge". He kind of shrugged his shoulders. Then, I said "I am gonna go home right now and think about what I want to do".

Of course, what can I do, really?

So, as far as a warranty, through this tire place, there is none.

Needless to say, I will not be going back to this place again, ever.
It sounds like you only discussed a “touch up“ and decided to go home. I would have said right there, a “touch up isn’t going to cut it! They’re brand new and I want a new rim!”

I loosened the clamps, moved them where it looked good, then tightened them back up.

Before... After... Third picture, you can see the clamp bolt. Just loosen and adjust accordingly (13mm socket). They can rotate and move side to side/up and down.
that looks much better. Will have to do the same to mine!

You’re actually better off having them hang a little low. There’s a drainage hole for water and moisture. Tucked up tight, the tips don’t drain. Rust may become an issue.
Didn't think about that, will keep that in mind. But I park on an incline most days when it's uncovered so it might be ok..?

Yeah, I thought about that, but, I think I will eventually get some double walled 5'' tips. If I ever get around to installing my new MBRP muffler.

Yeah, I

Idk...the “made to order” comment doesn’t seem right. Let me know if you decide to cancel. Found a place that actually gave a slightly better price then tonneaucovered and I got it in a few days.

I'm giving them until Tuesday, I'll let you know!

Got my Photos Today! Detailer has a Professional Photographer come in sometimes. Got them taken right after a Detail, Paint Correction, and Ceramic Coating. Saw someone name their truck the Black Pearl. Should I call mine the H.M.S. Interceptor or Dauntless? Here’s 10 out of the 20 I received. Best photos on the forum? Hmmm; anywho, thoughts guys?

Looks great! I’m planning on doing mine this weekend. How long of a job was it? Any tips or tricks from the install?
Only thing I can say is make sure you use a pass through socket set on the shock upper nut. Made it super easy. The springs didn’t compress as easily as expected but it still got there. It was relatively straight forward, took my about 3 hours for the first front side, 2 for the next, and 3 hours on the rears.

It’s the stock tips with the rolled up flange that trap water and moisture. That’s why they have a hole on the bottom just inside the flange For drainage. I believe the aftermarket flared tips don’t have this issue.

Over the Last couple of weekends I added
Weather Tech Bug shield
Rixxu Sport seat covers (Front)
Rear Window Distressed Flag with We The People

The rear window took the longest as there is a lot of cutting/trimming and then once its in the sun any bubbles you missed they slowly dissapear

oh and it went in for ceramic coat dealer addon

running boards and tonneau cover are left but which ones???

Some info for tonneau covers.

For those considering running boards here are some "Factors" for consideration.

Factors for running boards:
1. material - steel, SS, alu, plastic
2. shape - flat, round, oval, trapezoid, other (more off road)
3. width - 3, 4, 5, 6 inch
4. color - black, polished, painted
5. connections to vehicle - brackets (no covers / covers-beefier look)
6. connection to vehicle - gap from vehicle, height from ground
7. ends - capped (plastic) or welded ends
8. ends - straight or "bent"
9. company - USA, dealer network, contacts (email, phone), warranty, service, reliability
10. price -

Best of luck with your decision.
