What did you do to your Ram today???

Put on AVS low profile matte black window vents and aeroskin hood deflector.

I put the same items on every truck I buy, but these are the best version yet, in my opinion.

Low profile indeed.

Crazy easy install and I love the look.

Those look great and are super low profile. Do you have the part number handy? I put some on, can't even remember the brand at this point, and the adhesive didn't really take so I get some clicking with the window down.

I had AVS's in channel window vents on my Tacoma and loved them when I was living in the south. I took them off once I retired north. About the only "problem" I had with them is when I ran through a car wash it wouldn't dry under it and left water spots. I'm too lazy to get out and dry things.

Nice solid product and IMO a must have in hot areas.

Here ya go.

Spent my weekend (and many beers) getting this beast ready. Used Adams Graphene Ceramic coating. Wash, clay bar and polish and then coating.

I was super nervous using the Adams because everyone online made it seem like you had to be careful when doing. I get it, don’t let it dry for more than a minute, wipe off all the spots. But only exacerbated my stress when using it. But I think it came out great, pics don’t do it justice.

I guess I have some questions to granite Crystal metallic owners out ther: do you sometimes notice an unevenness of the paint application? Several times it looked like there were minute shadows in the paint, where maybe the metallic paint was more concentrated? Is it possible to get your paint that clear to accentuate any imperfections in how they applied the paint?
This looks great! Care to share more detail on your technique? What polish did you use? Which equipment? Machine or hand? Was this the spray on version?

Thanks!!

Installed the Diamondback cover along with the rail system...nice to see a good quality American made product!

You could just go to their website and find out.

2020 Bighorn Night Edition, 5.7 Hemi w/eTorque
Man, what would I do without you?

Anyway, their site said those won't work for a 1500.
The part number that does work, AVS994064, only comes in dark smoke (acrylic) despite the description saying that it's also available in matte black (abs).

Small addition today and I’ll hopefully have another small one tomorrow

Sure..I started with a 2 bucket wash with a foam cannon, then clay bar, then Sonax polish. Wiped down with an IPA solution then applied the ceramic coating. All in all took 3 days between daughters lacrosse games and other stuff, plus I wanted to take my time.

Good strategy I used was started with the rocker panels and windows to see how the coating behaved. Once I got the hang of it, then I stated on the rest of the truck. I maybe waited 30 seconds to 1 min to wipe it down. I was very disappointed it wasn’t really clear how long to wait, only was stated to “wait until it rainbows”.

I got the full kit with the wipe on coating.

Sadly, I’m deciding to go another route with paint protection film after my road trip to Florida this past week, so they have to remove the coating on the areas the film is going to be applied to. But it’s for the best!
