One of the coolest things I've seen on this thread! :D I decided to order one myself! Hate putting my groceries on my back seat.

lol... its REALLY good for the groceries, tension on the net is super strong and tight...When you install it, keep it just a hair above the bed but not too high and that way when it rains the bottom won't sit in water but its low enuf to easily grab it and put bags in it... Honestly took me a few tries that first day to get it jusssst right, , but its been in there perfectly since the day i installed it with zero shifting : )

Well in my case sadly I am a “ poser “ as I just use my truck to take us to Church and visit family. If anything needs to be delivered I have a company do that. So technically I could have gotten a SUV and been done with it. But I like trucks and again if I carried anything at all, the larger bed would be for me lol..

My take is these trucks are expensive and anything messy or damaging like firewood, bags of cement, building demo, etc is ideal to haul in a trailer. You can have a well used trailer that you can lean stuff against, tarp loads with ropes, toss firewood at,etc and the truck itself can stay in mint shape. I have a 5'x10'x30" sides light duty single axle trailer that can haul 1500lbs easily (holds an entire true cord of wood....even an 8' box has to be stacked cab high for a true cord of wood) and a husky 7'x14' tandem axle with electric brakes that can haul like 6,000+ lbs when needed. In Oregon, single axle trailers under a certain gross weight don't even require a license plate. I realize not everyone has a place to store a trailer, but they sure keep the truck in good shape. Then truck can stay as a fancy SUV with a big a## trunk (with a tonneau cover or canopy.) Besides, it makes you look macho when you can back a trailer with precision. Ever watch people at a boat ramp try to back up? Wives get yelled at usually and dread boating because of it. lol :ROFLMAO:

When speaking with the dealership(s) on the LoneStar, I kept referring to their “Regular Bed” as a Short Bed... which seemed to confuse them.

Heck, a regular bed used to be 8’ - back in the day.

In fact, I had to order my LoneStar Crew Cab because there were no 6’4” Beds in Texas at the time.

i'm in the south bay and yep, me too. I wonder if it is still legal to just pop in on the dash (when needed).
I’m in the north bay haha Santa Rosa to be exact and I see a lot of people with no front plate or on the dash! I guess it’s just hit or miss. They might get you or they might not even care!

Nice, where was that at? Wish I had mine when I went to Mammoth for MLK. Oh well, it'll be heading to UT for spring break in April!
It was taken at a turn out in Big Bear a few miles past the ski resort! Congrats on the purchase my boy you won’t be disappointed!

I ordered it. Hoping to report back in 8-12 weeks that I took delivery of it and drove it home.
