What did you do to your Ram today???

Installed the an "old man" tailgate step by TrekStep. (I couldn't bring myself to buy the ~$500 Mopar version) The mounting components are solid steel and the spring out and in works well. The only concern is the step itself seems somewhat flimsy as it's made of plastic. They claim the weight limit is 300 lbs but that seems generous as it feels shifty under my 180 lbs. One other tip is to make sure there is plenty of clearance between the step and the exhaust. I mounted mine very close to the exhaust to mitigate the flimsy nature and it shifted slightly touching the exhaust melting a small portion of the side of the step.

I also recently had an A series Lock-n-roll tonneau cover installed. In hindsight, I wish I would have went with the Retrax Pro which seems sturdier than the lock-n-roll.

Got OEM black front (had an Etsy special for the front but it peeled) and rear badges,

For the rear I also got a flame red sticker insert from reflective concepts

And finally a Tonneau cover. Which is an access tonneausport, which I’ve had on my last 3 trucks and love lol.

Ugh...its 35 degrees and I still didn't wash the truck for the last 2 weeks. Don't know about you guys but as much as I like getting dirty, being clean is so much better. Just iching to get out there and wash it...but not taking it to the car wash...to get swirl marks.

Pics for attention

I agree, I can't stand a truck that looks dirty longer than one day after I made it that way. Lucky for me there is a touchless drive-thru wash close by that also sprays from the underside. Not as good as a hand wash, but when its 20 degrees out I'm not going to complain!

Applied it to all exterior surface. Paint, plastics, glass, even on the tonneau cover. On the plastics it gives them that deep dark rich black look
Glad to hear you had enough of the coating to do all that. I’ll start with the paint and glass then move to the plastics!

I had just enough. I did the tonneau last in case I ran out but was able to get that coated as well with just one bottle

Maybe my hands are just not all that dexterous lol but when I did mine it was pretty finicky. They’re small and the letters are decently recessed. Even using tweezers I went through the spare letters and then some lol. The letters tend to get caught on the sides as you’re laying them in. And getting that alignment right in the recess was a chore as well. It definitely comes out with a great look when it’s done though.

I had a pretty big advantage in that both the badge and sticker were Christmas gifts so I had the luxury of doing it in my very well lit kitchen before placing the badge

I still used tweezers it wasn’t too bad, If the badge had been on my truck though I would recommend doing it in a garage - bring tweezers and patience.

But reflective concepts sends extras which is pretty nice of them.

Truck looks great! Did you apply the Adam’s graphene to all the plastics as well??

I did when I did mine. I used a paint prep cleaner I had here that removes waxes and oils with just some cheap micro fibers. Scrubbed the hell out of them to make sure all the residue from stuff was off. I let that dry completely then wiped it down two more times with the isopropyl prep spray and a good microfiber which I luckily still had a big bottle of in the garage. When I applied the coating I let it sit way longer than on the paint, then just lightly wiped it. They look awesome now with a nice deep gloss.

Bought a 2020 Laramie about 3 months ago and have since added a 3” Motofab lift, 20”x10” Hardrock wheels, 33”x12.50”x20” Kenda Klever R/T tires, Access tonneau cover, Mopar rear step, 20% front window tint, Woolwax rustproofing, and SPS graphene coating. Also received a set of Rough Country 6” led grill lights that need to be installed yet.

Appreciate the feedback! I figured I really need to scrub those down with surface prep before coating them.

If you use a lot of Adam’s products, use the tire and rubber cleaner to scrub the plastics. That stuff will clean the plastics extremely well really quick with minimal effort

285/55r22 Toyo O.C. AT3’s (lots of rubbing, 2” Supreme Suspension level going on next week), and then I scratched the hell out of the passenger side while getting to a new hunting spot

I’m getting the same tire and size put on tomorrow. I did the 2” motofab spacers about a week and a half ago to see how I liked the stance, so I’m hoping I won’t have any issues with rubbing. Looks like we are going to get some winter weather this week so I should be able to try them out.
