What did you do to your Ram today???

Since I own my '24 outright, if (I mean, when) I want more power from my sweet, sweet sounding Hemi, I'll get that Whipplecharger! As to MPG...meh, life is better when you count "smiles per gallon", not miles per gallon!

Wifey-pooh's '24 Durango SRT 392 Alchemi drinks 93 octane to the tune of 15mpg max...and I LOVE every mile of it🤣
(it's amazing how many people start a conversation with us about that Durango, and how often).

You'd be better off with a turbo than the Whipple. I wouldn't use a Whipple on anything I own. Have had multiple local friends who have had engines destroyed by a Whipple blower and the rotors flaking off. And Whipple would not do anything other than just replace the supercharger. No compensation for having to buy a new long block, or rebuild with machine work and new pistons/heads.

Yep, that does give me pause to reconsider.
My last blower was a VMP/Roush/Ford Racing..with zero problems and huge, square power!
Maybe a 448ci stroker would be better??!!🤑

Fair enough. I guess I’ll have to test drive one someday. I also probably shouldn’t judge until I get in one and test it out. I will say my only experience with the turbos is the smaller ones, and when Cadillac(and every other manufacturer started tossing in those 4 cylinder turbos, it annoyed the you know what out of me. It did seem strange that Ram immediately brought the HEMI back after just one year of the 6’s.
One other thing, I can’t even imagine how quiet it is if it’s quieter than my Limited. Anxious to hear V, I mean I6 sorry

I'm not gonna lie, I prefer the V8 engine sound but the trade-off of little or far less engine sound in the cabin, I can accept.

The power everywhere is what sold me, on paper, I was already sold but driving a SO truck with 3.55'a very clearly illustrated that the hurricane has power where the HEMI does not it feels lazy. The hurricane truck just goes.
 
I'd never choose a supercharger over turbos if I had a choice.
Superchargers always, always have belt issues and aftermarket superchargers always have belt alignment issues.

In the Corvette world, aftermarket superchargers are more common than turbos but the turbo cars always perform better with far less maintenance and headaches.
Belt and heat soak issues are common
 
But the torque, especially off-idle of a S/C can't be beat...

Green 8-rib Bates belt, HD 80mm belt tensioner, zero issues, big torque..it can be done!
