I really want Ram boxes in my next truck. This is the reason I've never liked ramboxes, they almost always seem misaligned. I found that there's a tool and instructions to correct this so I bought the mopar tool 2069900230 and adjusted mis-aligned ramboxes. My trucks passenger side was far worse than the driver

I found a new tool on ebay and bid $65 and it was accepted

Also found the 10MM ram box lid screws barely finger tight, adjusting them will allow you to move the doors in or out 1/4" helping them to sit flush with the body line. I'll probably mess with the driver side a little more to get it closer but both sides took about 30 min with the tool
I never ever ran a front plate, even though it's illegal in Wisco, but now that I'm retired and have more time on my hands (I mean beer in my hands), I run front plates..no reason to risk getting pulled over.I live in a front plate state (CO) but have been running without one for many years now.
On one car it blocks the intercooler, and on another it just looks stupid.
Never been pulled over or talked to for it.
I figure they have bigger fish to fry.

Well now, according to this tid bit of insight, I SHOULD order that Whipple Supercharger NOW before it gets more expensive..YES, you always have the best advice!! TYyou're fine. it's not that bad. I tried to influence the forum to drop big money but seems like yall got some really good self-control
wait till you do a full breakdown graphic like mine, then look at the big price differences from back in the days when you got them vs now.
you'll appreciate you bought your stuff early.

that's why I tell everyone: buy it NOW before price goes up. I probably saved at least 10% (in addition to the wholesale/ distributor discounts) between ordering parts BEFORE the truck was built in 2022 vs ordering them now.

Yep, I think from Whipple it's just a hair shy of 10g.Should be available soon, probably 10k for extra 200hp
This show always has great trophies. That's one of the things they are known for and try to keep going with . Years ago, they had a club member that would hand build all the trophies. I was never lucky enough to win one of those. Unfortunately that member has passed away, so now they still do awesome trophies, but they outsource a lot of it. past years trophies I have won't with the RAM.That might be the best trophy ever!! Fair enough. I guess I’ll have to test drive one someday. I also probably shouldn’t judge until I get in one and test it out. I will say my only experience with the turbos is the smaller ones, and when Cadillac(and every other manufacturer started tossing in those 4 cylinder turbos, it annoyed the you know what out of me. It did seem strange that Ram immediately brought the HEMI back after just one year of the 6’s.To the bolded, that was actually one of my hesitations too but after having a Laramie SO rental for a month, that was quickly forgotten
Turbo engines are typically quieter than N/A engines and this truck is very quiet inside, not a lot of engine sound at all for the most part. I can still hear some engine sound (mostly when accelerating from a stop sign/red light) and my only negative to the truck is the 6cyl sound but that can be remedied as BMW and others have done. My wifes Jaguar XF has a supercharged 3.0L V6 and it sounds nice. Now the question is, does the I6 engine sound bother me enough to do something about it? That answer is probably a no
You can hear the 5.7 in my Limited much much more, its louder and that is the primary reason I never put a cold air intake on the limited, I didn't want more noise. The I6 engine sound just wasn't enough to make me not consider the truck. If the 25+ Limited or Tungsten were offered with the HEMI and the Hurricane was optional, Id still take the hurricane over the HEMI. The hurricane trucks just drive better, everywhere the HEMI feels lazy, the hurricane twins have power, even the SO. Id been driving a 25 Laramie SO rental since Aug 8, everywhere the HEMI was torque deficient, the SO Hurricane was not and the SO got 1mpg better on the same routes vs my Limited and that was with me accelerating a little more aggressively than I normally do.
There have been a few shows with low car count. There were at least 8 vehicles in the class. I had two myself, three other guys from Nebraska RAM club, 2-3 jeeps, and a 2nd Gen RAM that was about like my Dakota and zero chance of winning.Did you tell everyone yours was the only truck that entered? Haha JK. Congrats!
