What did you do to your Ram today???

Bighorn owners got it right. Both on headlights and taillights.
Yeah but the halogen headlight housings are ugly enough to make blind children cry. If I had it to do over again I'd would have gone with factory LED which was an option at the time for Bighorns

As someone who had factory LEDs and replaced them with Morimoto XBs, the Morimotos put the factory reflector LEDs to shame. I also had a 2020 LongHorn with the top end headlights. They were at least as good as the Morimoto from my point of view. Not sure how they stack up from a scientific point of view. From a end user point of view, the Morimoto XBs are amazing.

So if there is no warranty on the headlights, I almost feel like you are better off getting halogen and upgrading to the Morimotos. The Morimotos are pure plug and play replacement for LED, but. I think you have to power the signature lighting separately with OEM halogen.

That's the warranty for replacement parts. I don't need to get a print out of anything

I'm asking you to back you claim and you can't. I've shown more proof in this discussion to counter these bogus claims and seen it happen across multiple manufacturers and forums in the past 5 years. End of discussion then.

I don't disagree. Most of them are indeed, fugly, and poorly manufactured because they are on lower trims so they stopped caring about the spread as much. Had that issue on both a lower trim Ford and Subaru without LED's. It's hit an miss because the Toyota Camry I had with halogens wasn't bad. All since 2019. I will say, a bit off track, the 4th gen RAM's looked great with their orange running light strip. Just my opinion. But given the nature of warranty coverage/cost to replace, I am leaning towards not caring how ugly something is anymore. Function over form.

And I've heard mostly good things about their warranty. 5 year limited. So if your LED's go out, Morimoto since you have to foot the bill anyways.

You can't even back what you claim. Everything you have tried to post to "support" your claim has been for extended warranties or replacement part warranties.

LED tails were an option for Bighorns. Only way to get blind spot monitoring. I've seen several Bighorns with halogen headlights and LED tails. And my Built to Serve is a Bighorn with factory LED lighting.
yep, my Big Horn has LED rears and halogen headlights (and BSM).

Say that last part again. To yourself though.

I'll post the FACTORY warranty info for you, please point out where it states they are covered (or why they are not listed for that matter).

And since you can't, I'd say experience with the latter is quite a bit more than you have, apparently. It's a pretty easy claim to support, either you can or you can't, and again, I've shown a lot more info on the latter than you have the former.

They 👏 are 👏 not 👏 covered.

A Mopar warranty is not the factory warranty. Nice try though.

(it's still MOPAR)

No mention of headlights even though their vague "not covered" section only lists basically headphones and tires. I wonder why? Almost like they still consider them "bulbs" or headlights.

I'd love for someone to weigh in that has had any dealership cover these housing replacements without an additionally paid source of coverage. Because it doesn't happen. Even as rare as "premature" failure is on LED headlights, there are just far too many reports across the internet, which I have tried to show you, that state they are not covered and again, you are talking to someone that ran into this issue previously. And we, because you've admitted this, know they are NOT covered beyond the factory one. It's just that 3 year initial period I have to hammer into your brain now apparently. That's all I got for you man. You can discredit the use of MOPAR warranty info all you want but all I've tried to do is relate the basics to you.

Take care (y)

It’s a bit excessive @HSKR R/T AND @Montana_

Can yall please move your debate to one another’s DM’s and let us enjoy the forum.

It's over. And given we are on page 2k, I'd say not worthy of continuing to poke the bull so to speak. Also why I posted a sarcastic gif.

I'm sure the mods can handle their forums. Thanks.

got my timber grove CRM bags installed today for a 4” drop. Found out that 6112’s will not fit with the belltech 2” drop knuckles. So I swapped out to my factory struts. Might see about going with 5100’s instead eventually to give me the ride I’m looking for. Still waiting for my replacement knuckle for the left front (was damaged in shipping) also found out the bushings in my 5160 rear shocks won’t work in the ranger 5100’s so I’ll be ordering the bushings from the maxtrac shocks.

Didn’t get in before the ceasefire, but I work at an electronics shop and we cut our own LED housings apart and resolder the boards to try to fix them. Remember lead is bad for you? It is the best for solder. Well companies have been using crap solder for 20 years now. How long did the first flat panel tvs last? Tis a problem across all electronics. Glue back together.

The last pic looks like the shock is contacting the cv...make me wonder if my 5100s are doing the same and thats where my intermittent cluck comes from. I was 100% it was the tie rod ends but now Ill have to look.

I’m assuming the 6112’s are not inside the factory springs? Are the 6112 springs larger diameter than the factory ones?

Put in a RC storage under the back seat. first Ram I haven’t had built in storage.
Was driving me crazy.
Now my OCD can rest easy.
