What did you do to your Ram today???

I’ve probably bragged about this before, but the touchless car wash I’ve used for years give me their best wash for $30 a month. Their top wash is usually $15.95 each time and I get unlimited washes up to one each day for the $30. I’ve had it so long they’ve grandfathered my monthly charge. You can’t get a new membership for that price anymore.
I go through often in the winter as it has an undercarriage wash and should help with road grime, salt or any ice counteracting chemicals.

My sub is 40 for the top tier wash can use it once a day. I don't get a undercarriage wash but it does blast the rockers.

Pads and rotors...at 38k on a 2019.

Rear pads almost done, rotors were rusted...inboard pad was riding on mostly scale.

Front rotors were completely rusted for the inside pad was riding on all scale, rust just starting to creep up on the front face. Pads were still at 50%...

And I wondered why it didn't feel strong when stopping...

No other issues found, slide pins still good, went back together fine.

For what it's worth, use a propane torch to warm the caliper bracket bolts to release the locktite. The rears came right apart without heat, the fronts were tough even with some heat...

I used Raybestos E3 rotors and Pads from Rock Auto. Buy them as a rotor/pad "kit". I've had good luck with the E3 stuff on my Silverado and Equinox.
Just rotated the tires today at 90330 miles on the clock, looked at the pads, about 50% left on fronts and 40 on the rears.

I pulled it out of the garage to make room to work on one of my other Mopars. Got it run jng, and hoping for some decent snow the next few days to give it a try.

1979 Chrysler Sno Runner. High performance model. Has a whooping 10hp and claimed 34moh top speed
That is pretty cool.

When you sold the last one I thought you were downsizing....maybe to a 20' C- class.👀
I’m also going to set up my Ram as a towed vehicle. Air Force One air integrated braking system that works in conjunction with the air brakes on the RV. Had the same system on my last one. Worked great.
The other option is a mechanical surge system like I’ve had before, although I don’t know if it’s as good a system. Either way, it’s a long train, but I’ve done it before with an F150 I had.

You're just bored, huh?

I do miss that Cummins sound and torque. Didn’t tow heavy anymore and wife didn’t like the stiff ride so I traded it in. 😢

Same here. Had a 2500 and miss that Cummins. Towed our TT like a dream. Trailer got written off due to hail damage and didn't replace it. Decided to not keep the 2500 as a daily driver in the city so traded it in for a 1/2 ton.

All you guys are making me want to expedite my plans for an "RV barn". Plan is to have a lean to dedicated to housing an RV of some sort. The main portion of the barn will be home gym/man cave with potential for living space. The other lean to will be a dedicated sports area for my kids/grand kids. We live on about 80 acres of family land. So making long term plans are fun when you know you're basically never allowed to sell lol.

Had this combo for 8 years and only used the 38ft. toyhauler 3 times. ended up selling it at a profit. Traded the 16' dually with 44k miles for my current 19' Limited with 61k miles even money. (picture was the day we picked up the toyhauler. got airbags right after)

Zone 6" Lift (rear Fox, front strut spacer)
Black Rhino Rapid in Matte Black (20x9.5, -18 offset)
Cooper Discoverer Rugged Trek in 35x12.5

Had slight rub on front forward inner wells - heat gun took care of it; had to trim the splash guard in the front about an 1" from the inside out.

Sorry, little dirty:

Having issues with the transfer case engaging/disengaging and what started as small slip in 2nd only when the truck was cold is now a constant thing.

Not happy. Taking it in Monday.

I took it in once for the transfer case issue, and I have them on video saying it felt like it was binding. Decent group of mechanics up here and I trust them for the most part, especially on a warranty vehicle. After the truck sits and fully shuts itself off then back on again it usually fixes the t-case issue. So they didn't see any codes or anything. But I'm not driving it again until the entire issue is fixed. Which sadly, I think involves not just the T-case, but the transmission as well. Everything was fine until it started getting cold, which to a point is understandable. Once or twice would be understandable, but this clearly isn't the case. Something is wrong and not functioning properly regardless of how warm the vehicle is.

I had issues with two new FORD's and wasn't happy with a couple other vehicle purchases (just personal preference, they were solid little commuters overall) over the past couple years, then like an idiot trying to "downsize" I traded in for a single vehicle and now I'm regretting it stepping it up to a full size for the first time since 2014.

Just not the RAM I remember from 4th gen, at all (potential previous owner issues like this aside). I know I would have been happier with a (pre-2025) Rebel, but there is just too much weird going on from Stellantis that is ruining my experience, especially in the cab. Ugh. Not the update I wanted to share, but no way is this truck going to last for me.

Snatched this set of rear control arms and Carven 5" tips on FB for $450 yesterday. Now, im going down the rear suspension rabbit hole. Looking for their panhard bar, swaybar endlinks, and a hellwig 7793 or maybe 7709. I like to install stuff in "batches" also, may start looking for a set of 2" rear lift coils. I'm running stock BH coils with a 2" puck with Fox 2.5s now

Driver side done. Was hoping it wasn’t cracked like the passenger side but once I pulled the heat shield I frowned. I forgot how quiet this truck is without exhaust leaks.
