What did you do to your Ram today???

Picked up a set of BBK headed locally tonight for $260. They were off a 2016, but figure there couldn't be that much difference for headers from 4th gen to 5th gen, and nobody seems to know for sure.
BBK lists 2 different numbers for 4th gen, and 5th gen. Probably different front pipes. The length of the pipe, between the collector, and the flange looks different, and the angle of the flange. Especially the right header.

It's really hard to tell as they don't have the same angles for both of them. I tried to compare before pulling the trigger on them

I agree, the angles are different in the pictures, of the two, but the right one looks like the flange is different. It appears the right goes straighter back on gen4, and the flange turns out on the 5th. I scored extremely well, like a 98%, in spacial relations, which is seeing one side, and being able to tell the other sides. Hopefully you can make them work.

Went to a car show. Truck didnt win, but I came home with a couple gift cards to a good local burger place from the raffle. Then helped out a buddy with his 4th gen swapping in some power leather seats replacing his worn out factory coth seats.PXL_20231008_171427113.jpg

Tried putting unlocked PCM into truck. Found out it was the wrong part number and the truck only runs for a few seconds before shutting down. Now my Radio Lock code is up and I don't know how to get that.. This is what I get for being impatient.

That being said, I have an unlocked PCM for a NON-etorque if anyone is interested.:ROFLMAO:

Did you buy it used?

When you had the head unit face off were you able to dress the usb-c cable behind the head unit and come out below where the AC plug is? Insight here would be great.
Yes. Easy to run the cable through behind the bezel.
you can’t get down and into the consul directly. You have to come out the bottom of the bezel and down into the consul to the AC plug area.
You can barely see, but my cable runs down in the right corner past the USB power ports.

Changed oil using the XL Oil Udder. Why I didn't buy this before? I have no clue but saved me from having to use ziploc bags and the fact that it has a magnet to keep it on the filter while it drains is a plus.
Agreed that thing is a gem to have in the tool box!

Welp, tried the whole removal of the center console yesterday and I had the bright idear to maybe add just an on off toggle to the ram charger itself. Pulling the console back was super easy. But getting that little section that holds the charger was a beeeeyotch because I have the G/T interior. The two side trim pieces are actually one big piece connected to the section around the shifter.

Anyway not enuff wire (or space) for the switch without way more planning than I did. Plus when I was trying to figure out which of the 2 colored wires was the actual power one, the charger wasn’t coming on at all. I even turned it back on in the settings to see if that would help, nothing. I have a work trip the next couple days so was like forget it for now. Left it Plugged in and on in the system, reassembled everything.

So I’m right back where I started. 😅😅 maybe I’ll mess with it again when I think about it more and have more time.

For now I’ll just put it in the passenger’s spot like I’ve been doin. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

You gotta hate when you try something only to put everything back together with unsuccessfully completing what you wanted to do. Been there!
On a side note, I sure like the GT consul shifter. Wish there was a cheap conversion from the dial shifter. I‘d do it in a heartbeat!
