Got the Uniden R8 Radar Detector hardwired in today working like a champ if anyone is looking for a BA radar detector then this is the way to go.

Last time I had a radar detector was the 90's, and it was a uniden... I didn't know they were still a thing

Oh yeah this was the first one I’ve gotten since early 2000’s and I’m telling you how far these things have come is insane. Just my trip this weekend I picked up 5 PO’s running KA Band longest one was 7 miles away before picking him up and the others were about 3-4 miles. They are really impressive how much they’ve improved I was overwhelmed with all the options the Radar Detector had but found some really good information from a Radar Detection forum these things even have BlueTooth now to hook up to APP’s that shows every speed camera, airplane surveillance, to real live feeds of where cops patrol, heat maps where most are spotted, and many other options it’s crazy. Lol

Probably my favorite position and mount for this type of setup looks good. I didn’t like them because of the way they looked and the limited areas to mount but that to me makes it more appealing. Great job.

I find my Waze app for navigation does a real good job alerting me where the speed traps are. Been very accurate on my daily commute and it’s free. Can’t beat that.

Waze is the best app to use for sure if you aren’t running a Radar Detector but I’ve noticed when using Waze it doesn’t keep everything updated it’ll have police ahead and more times than not there isn't even one there.

Google maps is good for speed traps as well. It either one is only as good as the people making the reports. If someone reports a speed trap, and the cop moves, but nobody cancels the speed trap it won't be accurate

That cup holder is super cool. I wonder if something like that could be done for the Limited style console?
